  • Shitty ass tattoo

  • the blunderbuss changed my life lol,,,,,,,i sold my pulse solution, and septa

  • @thetattoopirate im thinking of converting to a rotary. Though without the armiture bar and the contact from what i have seen in vids how do you calibrate the machine from liner to shader?

    love the vids

  • you made that tattoo shading just like using it without power the entire tattoo?

  • hey buddy what is a good volt to run a rotary machine

  • i was surprised cuz it started to look craappy but my bad u did a kick azz job!

  • i bought these very machines over a year ago, since buying them the tattooed pirate has designed even better models, but to be honest these things work so damn well and are so bulletproof i have not needed to upgrade yet. i own a shop and work day in and day out, i have never done any maintenance other than keeping them clean and they work as good as the day they came out of the box! i have customers tell me they will never get a coil tattoo ever again! best coil machines on market hands down

  • Just bought a rotary machine and tried it today. All I got to say is ... It pissed on coil machines. Now I got three coil hand casted machine for sale lol. U can use the same machine for shading and lining just twick the volts as you need them.

    Ps sick tattoo!

  • fuck

  • The new website is being built the Rapier2 videos are being done and will be up soon. Check out the new site we are going to be doing a raffle for Christmas for a Complete set of Rapier machines. Call 757-407-7336 for details or email tattooedpirate2@yahoo.com. The new web address is on each of The Tattooed Pirate Videos.

  • yes, stigma rotary machine is good, but this artist is suck

  • Sorry people we are building a new website for machines and there are new models being built by the middle of August. We are still building and selling machines, contact the email tattooedpirate2@yahoo.com or call 757-407-7336 for info.

  • Been months since i bought these machines. still haven't stopped using them. SUPERIOR product.buying 6 more in the next few days/week. Rad Machines Cary. you are the shit.

  • I have a sale going on untill the end of the month. All Rapiers are $325 each 3 and 4mm stroke machines with spring give JUST LIKE A COIL MACHINE ONLY MORE EXACT EVERYTIME YOU USE IT. Unlike outdated coil machines that are nothing more than a doorbell circuit these machines use high grade motors that run at 99% duty cycle. Any questions call 757-407-7336 for anyone who wants to evolve into the future. The Pirate

  • @thetattoopirate u may've earned half of your life using a normal outdated coil machine! no disrespects just a plain truth! daym

  • A coil machine can never be replaced. I own over 25 Coil machines and 6 different Rotary machines. The resistance from a spring can never be replaced by a rotary. The rotary machine will always butcher the skin if not used properly. I have been Tattooing of a lil over 15 years, world wide , and I also happen to be an award winning tattoo artist. I have won awards V.s. The Neuma, and various Rotary user artists. Coils Rule!

  • rotary beats coil, hands down. Nice tattoo btw

  • How are rotarys , i want to buy one, are they all tuned the same and good yo go, and can work like an artist would with a pencil? Let me know abot all rotarys

  • @Headshothorror4488 i not meaning to answer for The Pirate but as someone who uses these machines exsclusively. these machines are great. one the interface in which these are used are to a point where you forget you have a tattoo machine in your hand. and i believe if you forget that and you concentrate more on your art.. you have a winner.. Coils are outdated and yeah they have thier purpose don't get me wrong.. but there has to be an update to the artform as a whole

  • @Headshothorror4488 and these are alot like using a pencil or a marker. they are virtually weightless. and the needle give is tremendous. i implore you to find a better rotary machine or machine altogether. do yourself a favor and at least try them. they are amazing. they will change the way you tattoo and your life.

  • @TheStormthrower Well tattooing cant get much better than a coil machine ,well the art and look of them i mean, so its realy for sound ,weight, and the rotary was before the coil , this is just a newer version , but does it have give ? I tried one and had no give and even at a low volt it was tearing my skin with too long of a throw , i do know this is not the one i used so i may try it it looks good , thanks for the help

  • Hey thetattoopirate, is the rotary tattoo machine better than the coil machine?

  • @tekn0ob It depends on the rotary machine you are using. Almost all of the ones I have looked at do not have the needle give that the Rapier machine I manufacture has. This gives you great control over the trauma to the skin and promotes faster healing time than the typical coil machines out there. Also there is no tuning just set your power and go to work. A tool is a tool and should work the same day in and day out.

  • @tekn0ob yes contact me at 757-407-7336

  • @RicoZtattooZ619 ....wow you're rad.. what new and interesting product have you designed to further the artform? oh thats right.. you havent.

  • @TheStormthrower Sorry , i just seen it does have give you said , thanks

  • @Headshothorror4488 If you knew anything about engineering, you could see the circular motion has been changed to reciprocating motion which is perfect linear motion in and out of the skin. Also there is a spring mechanism in the slide that gives the needle give. The cnc that machines the parts cost a half a million bucks thats far from homemade. Most good coil machines are made at home in someones garage. Thanks for your uneducated input.

  • how deep do you push the needle into the skin? Till the skin touches the nozzle tip?

  • is it just me or does that first machine sound like its bogging down really bad?

  • @wasarealgirl When a coil machine in proper tune, will change its pitch in sound when it makes contact with the skin. At lower voltages they will become almost silent like when doing blood lines. The sound was to let you know the difference in a coil machine and the Rapier machine. I use the Rapier exclusively and will never go back to the caveman technology of a coil machine. The things you can do with the Rapier is light years ahead of the old technology. The Pirate

  • The Machines are being put through the ringer as we speak. i know who im buying my machines from in the future and for as long as the company is around (which by and means they conduct themselves will be for a VERY LONG TIME)

  • The customer service and professionalism this company exhibits is above and beyond what anyone in the industry can even remotely contain. alot of companies in this business can learn alot from this company in both product and service.

  • I just recieved my two Rapier machines from The Pirate. Got a 3mm liner/grayer, and a 4mm stroke Color machine. VERY HIGH QUALITY. Cary at The Pirate backs his product 110% as well as i do.

  • Damn nice machine, nice gradients in shading, where can you get?? Do you ship to uk?

  • Now ya need to stick a coil gun sound threw a speaker out side ya shop to attract the customers. well thats how i get caught every time. i hear that noise and it sends a shiver down my spine next im in there looking on the wall. Realy nice Machine. Much lighter and stays cooler to i bet im not a tattooist but just built a machine my first ever took half a day so lots of practice for me and learningand hygene of couse. Hey nice work to by the way. Im building another brass machine.

  • The Tattooed Pirate is going to be at the Philidelphia Tattoo Show from March 26th to March 28th 2010 and we will have all our machines on sale. There will be demos on hand of all our machines. See you there. The Tattooed Pirate

  • I've been using the Blunderbus for a few weeks now. I'm growing really fond of them. They run great on a really low setting. I'm already seeing tattoos come back that have lightly flaked away and look nice. Color, black and grey, or solid black they do it. Pretty darn easily.

  • Seasons Greetings from The Pirate, We have a new more inexpensive machine thats ready for sale. Its called the Blunderbus color/shader machine It's powerful and packs the color or tribal black in like a air brush with ease. Its light and easy to pick up and use. The 4mm stroke will power any size mag or round from a 7 round to a 49 mag. The weight is only 3.5 ounces and at $199.00 anyone can afford these pieces of history. 757-407-7336 untill 12am EST, The Pirate

  • We have a sale going on right now the holidays. $350 for one machine and a two machine set is $650 which includes 1 liner/gray 3mm stroke and one 4mm color machine. All machines come with power cords. The Pirate

  • Ok fellows we are in the works to produce a machine that is less expensive for the artist. We will be using a less expensive motor to lower the cost. The main action componenets won't change so the machine will work exactly the same. There will be a slight increase in weight and it will have a clip cord hook up for power. So keep checking back the machines will be ready the middle of November. The Pirate

  • i ran out of room on the last one but also i just did a tattoo that was so colorful even AFTER it healed that my client came back in to tell me how funny it is everyone says its a fake tattoo cause its so bright it has to be fake, tattoos are not that colorful!! you could offer me cash and i STILL wouldnt go back to a coil machine!!!

  • man i been using these very machines for closing in on a month at this point, and have had enough time to really study the quality it puts out and whatnot, and the craziest part is that my tattoos have increased in speed, and the biggest thing is my tattoos are coming back completely healed in a week, and its not a fluke, its almost everyone i do is healed in anywere from 5 to 8 days. its crazy! and it doesnt chew up flesh like a coil machine, i can lay over a spot 7-8 passes without chewin skin

  • i think im really going to like this machine... buti have a question.. i still ahve to buy one and there are a few stores who sell these rotaries for different prices... do you know what is the difference with the machines? how strong is your machine? thnx!

  • Ok The tattoos in the video are done with these machines. My partner who is also my engineer took the original prototype and used it to tattoo sheetrock at 12 volts. The motor manufacturer told me you could turn the motor up to 16 volts if need be. My brother and his shop use these at 4-6 volts to line shade and color. He's in California and its known for lots of color. Call and I can give you a better info job. 757-407-7336 EST. til 12am.

  • How do you adjust one of these machines between a liner and a shader.

  • I set the machine up as a liner or shader by two threaded holes in the crankshaft. Its really not a rotary machine but a reciprocating machine like the pistons in a car. There is also different springs I can install to lighten or harden the hit. The liner has a 3mm stroke which you can use for black and gray by turning the power down the color machine has a 4mm long stroke just like a standard coil machine. You can call for mare info at 757-407-7336.

  • I've never tattooed before well anyone. I've been practicing on fake skin and oranges. Would this been a good machine to pick up and learn to use. Everyone says its so smooth and much better.

  • These machines are easy to pick up and use. If I had had these machines 20 years ago I would have had an easier time learning to tattoo. The right tool for the right job. The Rapier is the right tool. Pig skin works well to tattoo on, buy a large uncooked ham and skin it tack and stretch it to something round like a card board tube for vinyl flooring, and let it get to room tempature. Close to human flesh.

  • Check out the new video on the Rapier Rotary Tattoo Machine. The Pirate

  • We have new videos coming soon. The Pirate

  • i own these machines, i ordered them from the pirate himself. i have to say from a tattoo artist stand point they are amazing! little to no vibration so my fingertips dont go numb on long hour tattoos, little to 0 noise so when im tattooing a leg and right next to the chair i dont get that echo back in my face. smooth coloring and light as hell! i will never go back to coils. you couldn't pay me to use those now. my coil machines are basically very expensive paper weights... damn

  • I'm used to traditional machines, How does it run? Does it lay ink pretty smooth? Do I need a different power supply to run one?

  • no i have my same power supply and actually use a coil machine as a third machine on occasion. as far as lay ink it lays it in SUPER smooth, to be honest my black and grey got better, took about 4 tattoos to get used to lining with no sound but after that it was a piece of cake. and the best part is is no maintenance, just fire it up and runs the same as it did a month ago. were like my coil machines run different in california then they did when i moved to minnesota.

  • The website is still being built so bare with me. All machines can be bought with paypal and any questions can be answered by several artists who are presently using the Rapier machine. I can be reached at 757-407-7336 The Pirate Cary. Thanks for the questions.

  • i've been using these machines for 3 weeks, and i'm hooked. Its the most consistency ive seen in a machine. super-light. where this machine really outshines the coil machine is in the application of solid color and/or black. the ink goes in like butter. its surprising to me to run over something real quick n then wipe n its in there! whereas w the coils id hafta go back n clean up the weak spots. these machines are really dope

  • My wife and I have just got our second tatts in 2 weeks from The Pirate. We have quite a few, and I can tell you, you have never heard a machine so quiet. Our tatts were by far the most painless and fast healing tatts we ever had or heard of. There wasnt even big scabs, just light flaking. We are overly satisfied and dont plan on anyone else doing work on us. The rotary machine really does make a huge difference....our other tatts are jealous.

  • Oh my god, why is the whole industry not using these already?

  • This is a prototype that will be in production on August 15,2009

  • On Those Rotary Machines, DO You Use Regular Power or What?

  • i prefere the rotary tattoo machines

  • I designed this machine with my partner & they are outstanding in evry way. It is fully adjustable in stroke and needle reduction. They are silent and very light. I am an artist so I know what works. My brother is tattooing in the video and I'm filming. They are for sale by The Tattooed Pirate to anyone not just professionals.

  • How does the rotary machine handle? Does it have any more/less vibration than the conventional? It's so quiet!

I've been thinking of switching over to rotary. Is there a brand that you suggest or a vendor?

  • The rotary tattoo gun he used in this video is built by himself (home-made) it's not hard to do one yourself

  • thats where you are wrong. the motor alone cost $120.00 to build, the radel plastic in the needle slide is weapons grade, and there are 3 micro bearings the size of a small pill. so you won't make one of these at home unless you have a $40,000.00 CNC machine in your home. A skilled engineer and a machinist designed these machines. I am the only company who makes these. I am a skilled artist as well as tattoo machine manufacturer. The Tattooed Pirate.

  • ermm maybe my uncle (who was in jail) haves a CNC machine :D

it wont be as safe as this one (the home-made one cant be cleaned like a proffesional one cause its mainly plastic) but will still do the job...

my uncle makes those from a pen, a motor and a guitar string... in jail he made ink from catching the smoke of burning razorblade with a mirror

  • man, the difference between a jail tattoo and a professional one is not even in the same category. makeing a machine out of a cd walkman does not count as a machine. that is were the term "gun" came from, its a prison term. professionals use "machines" such as this one! im a tattoo shop owner and artist and have seen the difference between a manufactured machine (rotary or coil) and a guy who buys an ebay special tattoo "machine" its not even the same ballpark
