  • On another note, I strongly don't believe in physical checks... there are ton's of cases with slide malfunctions and broken fingers. You can very easily visually inspect a firearm and tell if there is a round in the chamber unless you are in low light conditions then the exception could be made.

  • what is mike singletary doing teachin pistol lessons.

  • i wish he would shoot it

  • I still wouldn't put my finger in the breach.

    Asking for trouble.

  • @IHaveAMask they had us do that for our ccw class so I dont see why it's asking for trouble. I feel like if you dont do it your asking for trouble because you arent 100% sure that gun is clear.

  • @IHaveAMask

Most shootings are accident self shootings. Either cleaning, storing, or transporting. When I'm done or handling a firearm, I always do my checks, Remove mag, Cycle 3 times, finger in chamber. What the finger in chamber does is makes sure a round isn't strayed in there. If the ejector assembly is dirty or damaged a round can still be in the chamber. It's common safety, And a breach is for cannons, this is a chamber.

  • Boogacious ads are puke making.

  • With the actual "Weaver Stance", "the dominant arm's elbow is nearly straight while the support elbow is noticeably bent straight down. The shooter pushes forward with his dominant hand while the support hand exerts rearward pressure. The resultant isometric tension is intended to lessen and control muzzle flip when the gun is fired."

  • This is actually called the "Modified Isosceles" stance. Notice how the body and shoulders are still squared with the target and both arms are slightly bent and even in height. Although your footing is not in an Isosceles, hence the word "Modified", your arms are still in an Isosceles. The only difference between this and the Isosceles stance is that your strong foot is actually a little behind your weak foot. The "Modified Isosceles" is the most natural stance especially under stress.

  • this is the only guy that expert village has that actually is decent at instructing.. not perfect, but decent

  • well his cool

  • Always cool to learn something new. Thanks

  • Are your arms still in like a triangle formation (like the isosceles position) even in the Weaver stance? Or is the gun more toward your shooting eye?

  • @jmk0309 same upper body position as isoceles different lower body.

  • atleast this guy can hold the gun properly

  • shoot the god damn gun

  • @feenin4u247 lol

  • @feenin4u247 If cholos and gangsters believed in honing your skills and preparation they wouldn't be cholos/gangsters in the first place, and they wouldn't shoot their guns sideways like retards.

  • @feenin4u247 You do realise that this is common knowledge and lots of people are able to purchase and shoot guns legally?

  • @feenin4u247 I'm 17 and I have been shooting for years, I shot my first gun at 6 and went out hunting when I was 10. Pest control is a necessity in this country, pests ruin crops and wreck our farms such as rats, fox, pigeon. Self-defence is a recognised reason for owning a pistol for protection. In Northern Ireland, the place of a previous civil war, terrorists are still free-roaming and certain people need protection from military trained terrorists. Now I could go on for ages about a topic...

  • @feenin4u247 ...which is frankly extremely con traversal but I have three points.

    1) Do you really think that a person who wanted to find out this information couldn't get it easily? Buy an NRA manual, it's all in there, since I got one imported!

    2) I have shot since a young age, I'm trained as a civilian to use my guns safely. Have you shot a gun, held it? Have you any experience at all to be able to make this judgement?

    3) You are TROLLING! Please stop and stop making the net a bad place.

  • @feenin4u247 You're a deliberately hysterical, handwringing, liberal drama-queen who doesn't have a clue what the hell you're even whining about. Proper firearms instruction is what prevents accidents and facilitates proficiency and mastery, period. If you can't handle reality - and most liberals can't - then crawl back under whatever rock you've been living under and die. There are too many stupid people in this country and you're one of them.

  • @rollingthunder1400cc Hey hey hey hey hey now, I'm a liberal and I have no problem with firearms. In fact I think more people should carry firearms for self defense and I strongly disagree with Feenin4u247. This video does more good than damage. What kind of gangster is going to practice gun safety?

  • @feenin4u247 You are an absolute idiot, if it wouldn't stir up trouble with anti gun activists, I would laugh if you got shot by a stray bullet from someone that didn't know how to shoot their gun properly while trying to defend themselves in public.

  • @feenin4u247 TROLOLOLOLOLOL?

  • It's funny how idiots watch videos when that they claim they already know A MILLION FACTS ABOUT. If you already know how to use a gun why look at the video or leave a comment? Go look at another video!

  • also to add this is a big help to sum wen he pulls the slide back being that there is no mag its automatic lock.

  • Only reason I'm watching this series is for airsoft. The airsoft expertvillage series sucks major ballz!

  • he needs to address trigger pull

  • Also, this is NOT a Weaver stance. It's a modded/modern isosceles stance. Look at the arm position.

  • There's an actual purpose for the physical presscheck.

You ALWAYS perform a presscheck on your weapon whether its to ensure its clear or to ensure a round is loaded.

The purpose of a physical presscheck is for low visability. At night, you will have difficulty seeing brass in the chamber when you preform your check, so typically you will place a finger to feel for the brass to indicate a properly seated mag or a cleared weapon.

  • hell i learned from resident evil 4

  • oooo look a black guy with a gun

  • @07poopballs long as he aint a rapper that rhymes it with fun he's safe

  • ALSO: Wrong interview stance. Your support hand should cover the firing hand. If the bad guy goes for your hand, he would get the support hand enabling you to draw the weapon. Isosceles defeats the purpose of shooting using a Weaver stance.

  • F5 to skip ads

  • @mcshiffern wow, I sat through that for nothing, lol thanks for the post, I shall never have to sit through it again

  • want to know how to REALLY use a gun. Look up the Paladin Press on here. Those guys are legit.

  • Paladin Press is cool, but I think Lee is also an outstanding instructor.

  • @primevalindividual he's showing stance, if you follow the stance and breath control, trigger control, and follow through, you'll know how to use a gun. it's as easy as aiming, following those steps, and squeezing the trigger, then if you did it correctly you'll almost always hit the target (no gun's perfect so there's gonna be an occasional flier)

  • The only time he was even in the full stance the stupid camera was only showing him from the waist up.

  • Thats mod iso, not a classic weaver. Either way...good stance.

  • That actually was the weaver stance, however you had an isosceles grip. While firing you shouldn't at any time assume what I like to call the isoweaver.

cts1236 - There is absolutely nothing wrong with visually and PHYSICALLY inspecting the the chamber to ensure you have a clear and safe weapon.

  • @jonnydigits I agree, unless you are in a hostile situation, there is no excuse for pointing a weapon at someone. and unless your actually shooting, there is no reason to have the gun loaded, infact when you think it's safe and get into a habbit of not checking, that's when a fatal accident's gonna happen. you only get one chance, if you mess up, it'll kill either you or someone else.

  • How was that a Weaver stance?

  • This is what I was wanting to know....

This is actually the isosceles stance, but you're not suppose to roll your shoulder forward.

  • that it is not a danger, he did a double check a visual and a feel check to ensure the weapon was safe, there is not really any danger involved with putting your finger in the chamber.

  • ......famous last words

  • thats absolutely correct. a buddy of mine accidentally hit the slide release lever when his finger was in the chamber. his damn pinkie looked like he got M1 thumb on it lol

  • then...your friend was an idiot...

  • @BEARaCOODA accept for possibly hitting the slide release. Man that would hurt.

  • @BEARaCOODA accept for possibly hitting the slide release. Man that would hurt.

  • @BEARaCOODA if you drop the slide on it yeah it's going to hurt but thats it. Some people are just new to guns.

  • @BEARaCOODA Haha agreed unless you retarded and close the slide on your finger.. but then thats on the user

  • Your a dumbass.

  • It's called a physical check. Do you even own a gun?

  • Thanx
