  • trinidad should not have givin up their heathrow slots really and BWIA is way better than caribbean airlines :P

  • BWIA, such a classic airline. And they`re on for so many years now. I remember them from a time they used to fly the 707, DC 9 and later the L-1011 Tristar.

  • I cant watch it all ... because if I do ... I already cant wait to become a pilot

  • concorde????

  • FFFFLAAAAAAAAAAP one

  • sweet

  • 9:00

  • Ernest Williams, that's ma Dad!

  • @davidwill6 Really? Man you must be so proud of him. But sadly bwia don't fly to london anymore

  • @davidwill6 is he really?

  • Brings back sad memories, seeing old friends. spent the entire time on the 340 when it was in service at BW and like all the guys in the video had to find a new job overseas.

  • 06:00

    Concorde!? =S

  • really cool video! ..but um...Why does the Plane say "Retard" when its about to land???? :-S

  • @1000sizo It means idle the throttles.

  • @1000sizo Yes, as it is said by blueb0g it's a vocal aid to make pilots retards engines to flare the aircraft and land the airplane smoothly

  • Interesting to see the electrical bays positioned below the flight deck. Great!

  • Y cudn't they show the landing in Barbados :(

  • Cool video! Dumb Trinidad government for giving up the heathrow slots

  • @uktrini1 I know it's so unfair :(. Also someone closed down the air jamaica flight to heathrow. Both of those flights really interested me.

  • Great Video!

  • Great video, keep 'em coming I can't get enough!

  • 7:42 L1011 :D 6:02 Concorde, recorded recently or.....??

  • What aircraft are shown on this DVD, I spotted what looked like a Fokker 50, or a small Dash.

  • 50, 30, 20 -"retard! .. as usual, thx for posting

  • Very nice! I enjoyed it

  • For details on this and all other Cockpit DVDs visit our World Air Routes website...

  • @JustPlanes could you inbox me that website pleeease! thanks

  • @KevishScot his Jepp chart expired Sept. 98 so somewhere around then

  • @zaza32 Need to do some research buddy, BWIA didnt have A340s until 2002. until they closed in 2006. Caribbean Airlines, kept TJN for a year, however they sent back the other A340 (JIL) the same yr they began operating.

With regards to Jepp charts expiry dates, alot of plates despite their expiry date, are still in use,

If im not mistaken, it depends on the controlling authority, be it FAA, CAA or whoever is in charge of that specific area to deem a plate unusable or usable after expiry date.

  • @siograeme21 the dates on the charts are dates the charts are taken into service. Jepp charts with an expiry date are yellow. and include an expiry date !

  • When was this recorded? I saw a Concorde at 6:02!

  • @Itchhhh BA Concorde G-BOAE is now in its final resting place at Barbados

  • aleays, always fantastic !!!!

  • When was this recorded?

  • Ahhh the hubcap tail

  • The Approach brifing was .... Im missing words.. Nice and long.. lolz!

  • very nice

  • Great vid... A must have in my collection.

  • BWIA ceased operations in 2006, so this footage must be at least 4 years old. Why does it take so long to release the dvd?

  • Cool video!

  • When i fly my jet(A340)When i put throttle to 90% for take off it rabes hard and makes me feel like ohh god i m gonna fly high soon and why not?A340 has 4 engines with gud thrust performance perhaps it's also not so heavy in weight whereas engine has gud performance to make jet climb and cruise good on it's way and never let you stall(if you engage "TOGA") but only risky thing in my A340 is that you have to land carefully cuz A340 has wide wings so we be cautius while landing on crosswinds

  • does BWIA stand for anything

  • @bigwill619 British West Indies Awirways

  • @bigwill619 it stands for British West Indian Airways and its pronounce BEEWEE!

  • 1st. Great video there!

  • This is from 1998...?

  • Love the engine noise soo much!

  • Amazing as always! But how was there a Concorde at Barbados? Was it a charter flight or something?
