Anyone have any pointers for affiliate marketing? I can never get a profitable campaign going for very long, and I always have shit margins IF I get a profitable campaign. Last campaign I spent about $250 over three days in the weight loss niche. I got quite a few clicks and good ad data, but ZERO conversions. Not a single goddamn conversion.

I do make some money with a program that I bought on fastmoneylinks(.com), it's not thousands of dollars (like they say), but I did double my income by doing nothing. It is possible, to bad that I spent a lot of money before I found this website that only shows programs and stuff that really works.
@motoBeast When you sign up with an affiliate program, they have those special links to track who buy what stuff. So if put your special link, on your website and the visitor clicks on it and makes a purchase, then in the affiliate programms tracking system will show up your affiliate ID, which means you made a sale and you will be paid a commission.

yes you can but it's said it will be less affective and it's truth. Person coming to your website will be interested in video games not ringtones. Since 2006, Ive been trying to make a small fortune by trading the forex market online. Of course you do. The government gets their hands on everything and you might be in big shit if you don't file. Trust me, I make a living from leasing ad space and affiliate programs on my website. Report you taxes or else your fucked. Bottom line. Making money off of affiliate programs isn't easily. You need a huge I mean huge amount of traffic. I'm not talking a couple hundred hits a day you need thousands sometimes hundreds of thousands of hits a day to make real, real good money.

Traffic seems to always be the main factor and always will be, but it sure doesn't hurt any making sure you have a hungry crowd knocking at your door! Do a bit of research on Halloween using adword keyword tool it will make your mouth drop LOL!

Sure... affiliate websites are nice but they take way too long for you to get paid.
I'd reccomend Make100Now over this anyday :D you can make $100 a day legitimitally doing 15 minutes of work. It took me no initial investment, which is great cause I'm 16.. I don't have money lol! They pay through paypal so you dont even need a credit card which is what I like. You can see their website here:

Just a question though. When making a website, you dont have to go into detail about the product??
How about if you have a site about Art and you're promoting advertisments for like example adobe? will you need to know a brieft summary of the product to sell it? or can you just advertise it on you're site with banners?? while talking about art?
Or do you have to somehow link back the Art topic, back to the product that you're advertising.

It's more simple that than. Focus on multi-tier affiliate programs that pay you a commission on multiple levels... also focus on service focused products where people use the service as a platform to do something else. That's why companies such as paypal and ebay are so popular. Lastly focus on good looking landing pages that would get decent conversion rates. If you want all three then check out Snurl . com / FXpromote This is by far the best multi-tier affiliate program of 2010

I would say to anyone, first of all take a web design and marketing course at your local college, this will give you a sound footing and confidence in what you are trying to do, after that with affiliate marketing just use your immagination and think big, lots of units.
I usually work my schemes out while going for a walk in the countryside, whatever works for you think outside the box

just one major question, i would like answered, to be an affialiate marketer. Do you need to make an website advertising that particular product? so you need a review page and everything on that particular product you're marketing? or can you affiliate market people's product on any website? like even if the website is about, lets say yours site is about "video games" and you get a "ringtone" affialiate program, can you still advertise the ringtone program then?

yes you can but it's said it will be less affective and it's truth. Person coming to your website will be interested in video games not ringtones. So it is better to give hime a link to purchase modern warfare than some kind of ringtone. Also you can affiliate even more effectively if you provide the purchase link with text: this is the cheapest place where you can get the MW2. Get it now! Oh and btw add me to buddies.

being an affialiate marketer, means you can use what ever way you want to advertise the product you are promoting. Say you were going to promote/advertise somebody's Farmville guide for e.g, you could post it on facebook and people will click it so they can have advantage over their friends.

I like how you explained precisly what affiliate marketing is. I dont like how you made it sound so eazy. You cant just have a site to make money. People need a host site for their web page. Making a squeeze page and much more it can be frustrating and time consuming if you dont know what you are doing eventually could cost alot of money and not get you very far. A good mentor is really important.

I get comments on my headshot as well but no offers to be flown anywhere. In regards to the video, its good stuff and I would add that you should have your own hosted website so that blogs like wordpress do not punish you for what they consider breaking their rules.

Of course you do. The government gets their hands on everything and you might be in big shit if you don't file. Trust me, I make a living from leasing ad space and affiliate programs on my website. Report you taxes or else your fucked. Bottom line. Making money off of affiliate programs isn't easily. You need a huge I mean huge amount of traffic. I'm not talking a couple hundred hits a day you need thousands sometimes hundreds of thousands of hits a day to make real, real good money.

That´s a good explanation of how affiliate marketing works. You even don´t have to have a website. You can easily start with a blog from google. That´s a lot easier to set up. It will cost you nothing.
