If it hit a vehicle head-on at that speed, I believe the vehicle would be sliced in two. Too bad no-one does a crash test like this, with remote controlled vehicles.
people who talk shit dont own shit they dont know the power of the bike , simple mods and bike is a freaking monster 186 stock and over 200 with bolt on stuff , goodjob guy lets see 200 . wish i was closer id bring mine down
no problem beleiving that speed busas will do the same with restrictors removed or bypassed but still pulling hard at 195? hmmmmm dont know bout that part.
Spoondogg1401, what the hell are you on about? The first run was 193.682, the second run was 195.668. Turn you sound up and clean your ears out. Also if you could bother, go to the Texas Mile site, it has all the times. You miserable sod. This guy did a great job of tuning and riding.
They are top speed limited to 300kph which is 186mph. But, most motorcycle speedometers are 6 percent optimistic which means that an indicated 186 is actually 175.
I love removing limiters, but I also love all the haters we get on here when we mention our bikes going over the STOCK speeds... A full exhaust, limiter removal, and tune can do wonders with a bike, but everyone is a skeptic or a hater haha.
hey can you tell me how do you like the ride of this bike what does consumer reports say like how does kawie compare to honda and suzuki for reliability, i personally like the cbr but i think i need a bigger bik so the wife can go on the back, do you ride around town..right now i am riding an 02 gs 500 don't laugh!!!60mpg but i feel the need !!!w]b please>
you have to done serious gear changing?? these bikes top out at 310 kph with a TRE (stock)this is not possible with no proffesinal hands.. you done a beutiful job, but what???? i am chasing the 200mph barrier asd well, but it`s very difficult with bikes..my tool is a 2005 mod. GSX-R 1000 with big bore and much more..235 hp in engine and 202 at the rear wheel, but still it`s hard to hit that magic speed..insane accleration doh.. how many second did you use on the texas MILE?????

Wow! Nice run! I haven't gotten to do a run on a mile-long track (nor would it go 195mph!), but I've done the 1/4 at 128, which is scary enough. Much respect to you! Close to 200mph is SCARY fast!
I did my run on a striaght flat country road about 40 miles long that barely ever gets used, nothing but cow fields, alot of bikes around here go out there and do speed runs, mine is used, the previous raised the handlebars and took off the limiter, Ive only done it twice in one day and will never do it again, I just had to find out what she had.
Lol how did u go 195.. if every bike is governed down to 186? did u buy a tre? cause if your sayin your bike will do that stock with the govenor on lol your a dumb a....
See my response to an earlier email about top speed limiters. The short answer is to use GLPRO, YellowBox, or SpeedoHealer to calibrate the speedo to read less than actual.
I hope you did 195 on a closed course. If you did it on the street endangering others, you're an idiot. I've had a mere 40 years experience with motorcycles, racing them in my youth. This guy is doing it the right way. I've crashed at 100 mph, impaling my lower leg on the right footpeg. But that was on a racecourse. I doubt I'd have the guts to run a bike at over 200. Every man has to know his limitations. Mr. TCKWTX, you've got balls of steel. Nice to watch you work.
The ZX14 is top speed limited by what the speedo indicates. If the speedo hits 187 then the limiter kicks in. This means that the speedometer will never see a reading above 187. To confirm this I calibrated my speedohealer to indicate 190% of actual which caused it to hit the speed limiter in any gear other than 1st when the speedo indicated 187. The only way I know of to get around this is to calibrate the speedo to indicate less than actual. Try Yellow Box, SpeedoHealer, or GLPRO.
Going 200mph at Bonneville and going 200mph on asphault are two entirely different things. Bonneville doesn't have as much traction as asphault so you need to add ballast which is addtional weight which slows you down so you add more power to compensate, etc, etc...
weak . you took too long showing way too mutch other stuff you lost me about 45 seconds of no action. ;-) need some quick mtv style edits an d music. havea a great day
ALL engine internals are OEM 1352cc. No Nitous or turbo.
I made the following modifications: PC III USB with map; Brock Gen 3 exhaust; Speedo Healer; The front is lowered 1 inch and then strapped for a total of 2.375 inches; Rear is lowered 2.5 inches; Used a non o-ring chain; Used VP MR9 race fuel; Used a 40 tooth rear sprocket; Texas Mile rules requires a steering damper and the ZX14 does not have one - Selected a GPR steering damper.
haha maybe the old busa but the 2008, different story. Brock already busted 200 twice with one at maxton. 14 is a tight ride too though. Both the 14 and busa will be so close it all comes down to whatever style you like the most.
If it hit a vehicle head-on at that speed, I believe the vehicle would be sliced in two. Too bad no-one does a crash test like this, with remote controlled vehicles.

so whats the topspeed on your bike if 195mph isnt? has to be over 200mph
barcode0954 3 years ago
Given more room it would do over 200 mph but would need a longer track. I don't do this on the street!!!

The video information reads:
Stock wheelbase and ALL engine internals are OEM 1352cc. No Nitous or turbo.
There are several things that were done. A totally stock ZX14, or any year Busa, will NOT do a real 195mph in a standing start mile.
tckwtx 3 years ago
yes especially since they are limited at 180 i believe.

I can't believe it doesn't come with a steering damper stock. Kawasaki must be making a point about their geometry set-up.
