@B0ULLIE I watched it slightly high, just nyquil and some weed resin, damn, blew my mind. and had headphones. I have a cold, hence the nyquil. anyways, after the movie was over I was just staring into space not blinking for a long ass time. just woaaaaa. still am like woaaaaa. saw it last night.
@B0ULLIE Yeah, the movie was like speaking to me though. it felt so real.
I also watched 2 movies before this that were trippy too. Lunopolis and Last Day, then after I watched Enter the Void I watched a documentary called Alex Grey: The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors: CoSM: the Movie which was awesome.
noe really knows how to use colors (yellow tint) and sound to make you feel sick to your stomach in scenes like this. etv has a lot of issues, but its filmed in a way that makes it hard to forget what you just watched
Well I think the inspiration for the scene comes from near death experiences, which are probably not too far off, at least for the initial shut down of the body, these people lived to talk about it.
@Kojitsu Inspiration for the whole movie comes from the Tibetan Book of the Dead. There are similarities between the Tibetan Buddhist afterlife and the western near-death experience, but Gaspar Noe himself has said the primary basis for this and the whole movie was from the Bardo Thodol (book of the dead)
I don't advise watching this high with headphones.
The intensity damn near gave me a heart attack...
