I think the talk about civil unrest is exaggerated. Saying the 11 police shootings are an indication of that is not making sense because these were not people trying to riot or loot but on wacked out on drugs or avoiding arrest. our country is bad economically but we are far from a collaspe when the poorest of us still have money for video rentals and fast food and own a car.

Civilization develops for mutual benefits.

Collapse is engineered for the purposes of those who think they will benefit by it.

The best way to avoid collapse is through appropriate education and a commitment to defending our civilization.

We are being deceived.  Everyone is screaming inflation, but let's look a little closer. Yes, food and gas prices are rising but compared to what? Europe and Asia have much higher prices for food and gas. But here is what everyone is missing: Over 20% unemployment, real estate deleveraging, banks not lending, consumers not spending, and M3 just contracted 1.5% last month. Can anyone say DEFLATION? These are classic symptoms of deflation, NOT inflation.

@drkevincampbell Of course you always see some deflation with inflation. Houses will deflate due to the bubble. In the Weimer Republic hyper-inflation rent was only 3% of one's income. Who cares if the rest of the world is paying more for food if you can't afford it you're still hungry. We will se massive inflation this year. Just wait! You'll see inflation bodyslam us all!

Globalism only works with large pools of energy and raw material inputs. Oil is the hinge-pin because it is both. It is the single most widely used source of energy - about 40% of global energy comes from oil (Material also? Not sure about that, but certainly a very large material input). It is certainly conceivable that within 6 to 10 years coal could pass oil. Global coal extraction is projected to peak around 2025.
