  • I like how it's spinning the 45 too fast.

  • i want this toy and this is a great song

  • Humor it is. I had one of these bc I wasn't allowed to us my mother's. It sounded great back then. No matter what you play it on, it is still great music.

  • sense of humor...don't judge....this WAS cool back in the day. Crank it! Sing it! Dance it! Smile.....

  • hahahaha & ha this is hilarious, I didn't expect this on a toy record player I wish I still had mine :(

  • Too damn funny! I love the fact that you chose Hall and Oates. Well done.!!

  • what kind of a bastard shit puts a video like this up? fuck you

  • LMAO I remember having one of these and i broke it on purpose because i didn't like it

  • welcome back home boy

  • 62 rich girls didnt like this song.

  • Quality!!! Ok the turntable's no good but you used a quality song so I think points for effort.

  • what' the point?

  • If you think this is bad, you've forgotten about the clothes they used to wear back then.

  • LMAO I LOVE THIS!!! :D:D:D:D

  • @scottwalker321 I have that 45 in my jukebox now.

  • hahhahahah Fisher Price is right! How dare you play such loveliness on such a piece of crap excuse for a phonogram! Trash that tackiness. You might as well use a safety pin as the needle. hahahha oh hell no

  • @FMoran1966 Next time, I will do that.

  • fuck turn it off... throw it in the garbage so it doesn't ruin anymore classics

  • @teflondon91 Quit your bellyaching, boy...

  • @hondolespaul my ears are ruined

  • @teflondon91 Buy some hearing aids and call me in the morning.

  • I don't get this video. It sounds awful! The Fisher Price record players were made for Disney talking records or something.

  • @TwinMillMC I'm not explaining myself again.

  • OMG! It still works!! Flashback to Christmas 1978!

  • OMG i had that! Awesome!

  • awesome.

  • Lol, Fisher Price turntable sounds terrible. You just butchered the song in the process.

  • @BalooRJ I was just testing out the record player to see if it still worked. I agree with you. If I reuploaded this song playing on my jukebox, YouTube would probably remove my video. Maybe not. I'm not going to waste over an hour uploading a video just to have it removed.

  • @BalooRJ LOL!!

  • OMG i used to have one of those when I was a kid...memories....

  • @heather621 This song sounds a lot better in my new/used jukebox.

  • Love this song soo much

  • Wow, how much?

  • $30.00 + S&H.

  • i love it!

  • Holy cow, I want one of these...

  • @DoctorGoulet If I can find it, you can buy this one.

  • horrible, lol

  • Ah, the beautiful Fisher Price record player, I have one myself, the needle is slowly dying sadly :(

  • very cool video

  • cool video

  • Jaysus Chroisht...me poor fecking eardrums...

  • omg leave the fucking volume alone! my poor eaars!!

  • Stop whining...

  • sounds terrible, but if you heard it when it came out it was vinyl, 8 track or a homemade cassette, yeah digital is awesome, but there was something about making a tape that was more meaningful, thanks for the post

  • I had this same record player in the 80's!! It's so good to hear this song the way I used to listen to it! LOVE IT! Scratchy or not, it brought back a flood of memories.

  • Where'd you get this turntable...out of a cereal box? Ugh...

  • How did you know?

  • I think this may very well be the way I heard this song the very first time! But it was a mickey mouse player, and I also got some Leif Garret 45 that birthday! sweet.

  • little scratchy . hahah 500,000.00 sculpture ey? sounds like you could have a better one with out that. thats nice of you to gloat about it. and i thought my mom was bad.... tisk tisk have what you have and be humble nobody likes a show off

  • I do agree that the song sounds scratchy. Actually, my sculpture is worth that much in unrestored condition.

  • hondolespaul you and ur song suck arse get a life gronk

  • It sucks so bad that you just had to listen to it again. Speak for yourself. I have a great life and I own a $500,000.00 sculpture. What do you have? A bedroom with four walls in mommy and daddy's house? A 15 year old car that's falling apart? You don't want to start a war with me. I'll find out who you are and what you're all about before the day is over. I know some people who know some people who investigate people.

  • yeah counting down till we all die from this song

  • Hahaha, you listened to it again.

  • Selwyn rich girl shits on this version

  • Over 100,000 hits and counting!

  • my ears!@!@!

  • Waaaaahhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i knew this was gonna be great. and it was...

  • Jesus, this is the shittiest sounding video ive heard in a minute. Unlawful to f&*& up a song this nice........

  • Stop whining...

  • Such a classic song!

    Best version by far!

    Thanks for the post! :D

  • hey how many hall and oates records do you have and can you record more songs with a record of hall and oates if you have any? subscribe cuz i dont have a camera plz

  • i hought my mom was the only cool person that had records still...lol

  • nice job distorting the cell phone camera mic...

  • It wasn´t a cell phone I used to record this video.

  • what did you record it with then?

  • A digital video camera.

  • lol!! what ever happened to the iPod?!

  • I have a couple of those, smartass.

  • this really is a great song and i think that its cool that the person has a record of this song. its one of my favorites

  • Thank you.

  • LOOOOOOOOOOL

  • yo, how OLD are ya'll? 72? my mom talks about those and she used to play some dumb music in her room really loud on those record players, and she used to ride her bike to the gas station to get candy and play pac man. the girl version. I fell asleep the last time she told me that story.

  • I´m 23 going on 24. Is your mom single?

  • I had one of those! Man, I want to be a kid again.

  • So those things actually worked :p

  • Hard to believe huh? :-)

  • I used to have that Fisherprice Recordplayer when i was a kid lol before the cds were popular

  • This sounds like dog shit my ears hurt

  • Good, happy to help.

  • i love this song why dont you reupload this without the max volume.

  • Just turn the volume down on your computer and you might be able to hear this song better.

  • wow the sound quality of this is brilliant. that must be a very expensive record player

  • Hahaha!

  • i have this same fisherprice record player, and it works great, sounds much better in person hah!.

  • This is very true, lol.

  • y even post this

    retard

  • So you could watch it.

  • did anyone consider it could be the recording device for the source of the terrible quality?

  • People have been arguing about this for eons now.

  • you guys are morons, not hall or oates, you people. you make me sick. oh im 17 im so fucking smart. i think my ear drum busted boody hoody hoo.

  • The Son of Sam used to get warmed up with this song....what a tune!

  • Vinyl is far superior because of the simple fact that it is recorded with a smooth constant waving sound as it is scratched in it runs smoothly like valleys and hills, A far different approach is done with a CD as a lazer burns little square cliffs like a staircase along the CD.

If you have a modern turntable with surround sound you will have a very different experience with a simple CD player.

  • i dont care what these assholes aresaying dude rock on thats classic, i wish i hadthat and that record

  • Thanks!

  • Sounds like your AM radio.

  • I don´t even listen to the radio.

  • THAT SOUNDS LIKE SHIT! I think it popped my left ear drum... XD

  • i can see why we use CD's now..

  • surely you are joking?

  • Vinyl is making a comeback.

  • see the only reason you say that is cuz you've never heard a good turntable and speakers play. i'm 17 and i know that vinyl is better due to the fact that vinyl makes constant sound which gives it the rich warm sound. cd's are unable to make this effect because they have to play quick little parts in the music so it doesn't sound warm if that makes sense lol. analog will always sound BETTER than digital even though it's not as convenient lol

  • @password822 ..You are right! vinyl is better!, anybody who says differently just doesnt know their shit!

  • the sound's mediocre

    but i like it

reminds me of listening to my parents old albums on a jerry-rigged phonograph circa 2001

  • I so want to buy it..

  • Really?

  • LOVE IT! thanks for posting! I had the same record player when I was a kid! AWESOME

  • Do you want to buy this record player? I even have the original box for it.

  • nice bro thats a cool thing to have dude

  • Thanks.

  • que buen disco de vinilo RICH GIRL por HALL and OATES que buenos tiempos los años 80 , mi duo favorito

  • the Oates moustache was in rare form in the 80s

  • hahahha this song is just amazing!!! I remember i first heard it when i was working at a marina..=) GREAT TIMES!

  • Hey, I remember my portable playah with records from the backs of cereal boxes - chill =0)

  • hahaha 8 track, nice

  • isn't this a 45? 8 tracks were big-ass tapes...I think my grandma still has one.

  • bro im 20 how the fuck should I know?

  • relax dude, it's a joke! (and don't use age as an excuse...)

  • I am just about getting sick of your crap as well. I already explained why I posted this video clip. It was to sell a record player!!! Can´t you read worth a damn?

  • ask your mommy for a dollar so you can download it then

  • Haha. Owned.

  • Then why don´t you do that then?

  • Sure the quality isnt the greatest..but id rather listen to this music then 99% of the crap nowadays...Brabble2006...youre watching his video... he aint watching yours lol

  • amazing quality on those fisher price sets

  • does anyone have a good recorded version of this song? as in not live? I'd really like to find one. If you know of anyone, can you let me know please? Thanks :)

  • I have my big stereo hooked up and that has a turntable. If I can find that 45, I will post a new video clip.

  • sweet... could you please let me know? :)

  • Sure.

  • Actually, it was only a video clip to test out the record player. I´ve heard better versions of this song myself.

  • totally agree. this recording sucks balls

  • it's not the recording- its the kids record player- if you use a good player, you will get good sound

  • Sounds like your a connoisseur / collector. My Dad has player that plays cylinder records.

  • Indeed I am. I know a guy who´s sister had a cylinder player with the cylinders! She donated it to a museum. They are worth a pretty penny, even now. Your Dad could get at least $1,500.00 for his.

  • That sound is what made those of us who remember putting up with it want proper stereos!

  • Was that in 1960?

  • early 70's...except this record player is exceptionally bad as it is a fisher price and is a toy.

  • Hahaha, I agree. I just picked up a 1960s Zenith Stereophonic solid state portable record player. It sat unused for over 20 years and collected dust. This thing works great and blows away anything Fisher Price made. I am still looking for a 1978 Soundesign Disco-Tek.

  • sounds too distorted

  • This was one of my first video clips on YouTube.

  • Memories!!!!

  • isnt that one of those kids record players! lol

  • Good observation, heh.

  • I gots the same player, check out messing around on a fisher price turntable.

  • I´ll do that, thanks!

  • Wow!I used 2play the old 1970s Chipmunk's records at 78RPM( a veryfast mode on the recordplayer meant for some vinyl NOT regular lp's)so those 'munks voices became very very rediculous!Checkout their Christmas records on sale at eBay from timeto time,if you have a record player that has 78 rpm as an option do bid!You can buy 78 rpm record singles (made before 1983 or so) by pop artists like Olivia Newton-john and play them at 33 1/3 rpm, it's absurd! Olivia sounds like a man if u do that-Xanadu!

  • It says 1978 underneath the record player. I have one of these in the box from 1982 that needs a needle.

  • wow what year was the record player made in?

  • No, it doesn't. Are you looking to buy one of these?

  • does the record player have a headphone jack?

  • hahahaaaaaa
