Ghosts are not real. Most sightings happen when people are feeling uneasy in a dark and/or unfamiliar place. The normal physical reaction is to pump adrenalin in your body in case you need to fight or fly. People tend to pay attention to every shape and slight movement around them and with the right shape or movement their mind can very easily trick them into thinking they saw someone. Ever walk into a room and jump when you see someone next to you only to find that it is a coat or something.

It is expected that the lense is set where the insect is able to land on a glass in front of the lense and then take flight and land again giving the illusion that the "spirit" is disappearing and reappearing.

It's that period of nothingness that is between going to bed at night and waking up next morning, except no dreams or anything. No time passes or you don't even know you're dead or anything else.
