They look kinda like slugs. Where are the joints between cars??? Do they only go on REALLY straight tracks, or what?

Amazing to behold. California is TRYING to get a train like this going between L.A. and San Francisco area, where I live. I love trains, and would gladly take a bullet instead of a plane! Except that in Europe in 2001 (forever, I know!), it was TOO expensive, so I took the "normal" train from Bilbao, Spain to Paris. It was still a nice journey. Trains are so "leisurely!"

@electrohippyj The joints are there just well put together to reduce drag. The go through points/switches and run through curves with no issue.
