Do you have the song by Candy Hemphill 'Cast your bread upon the waters?' I LOVE that song!! Her voice is SO FULL of Pure POWER! I miss hearing it & can't find it anywhere.
Have always loved this song... taught it to my young son when it came out (80s I think)now teaching it to my 3yr & 18 mos old granddaughters!! It is a timeless classic!! 💗
I just love the oldies, guess thats why my ministry is singing to the old folks at the nursing homes. Hey, didn't the Hemphills do a song called "make a new me"? Does anyone have a recording of that?
I was working on a small radio station in Fernandina Beach Fl. when this song came out. I began to play it on my contemperary gospel show and the show took a whole new turn and it became the cross roads where Southern Gospel met Contemerary Gospel and Rock Gospel. This show became number one on Sunday afternoons for all of Nassau and some of Duval counties. Guess God knows what he's doing and we'll be fine if we listen!
I Love this song. Most people my age aren't as "Christ-devoted" as me (I'm only 16) and they don't get why I always pray and ask for God's help, my old gosple is what I usualy sing at church. (Singing is not my idea, I just can't say no to Jodie lol)
you know this song can be taking both ways :D
