Univision is the most staunch pro-illegal alien TV station in the U.S. All they do is talk about how these "poor immigrants" are being discriminated against and how states are passing anti-immigrant laws. Americans are tired of footing the bill for these people who have a minimum level of education. Most legal and U.S born Hispanics oppose amnesty for these people.
As for reaching the 50 million mark, this would really be a positive milestone if it was proportionate to the education level, socioeconomic status and achievements of the Hispanic/Latin American population. Some of us value quality over quantity.

@TheInsidiousParadigm , that 12 million is a wrong number. In his address to the Mexican Congress, President Calderon acknowledged that there are 123 million Mexicans. But Mexico's population has only 100 million, therefore 23 million are in the US illegally.
Reagan in 1998 pardoned over 3 million illegals but final estimates were double that in those years. Thus, 23 + 6 million illegals = approx. 30 million illegals.

Even poverty stricken people are not underestimated when it comes to becoming future world leader because poverty stricken people of many nationalities have proved that stereotype wrong. @furiousjuffowup you missed what I said, all cultures are not created equal, some cultures are more successful than other cultures just based on the way they choose to go about life, and genetics also plays a part in a cultures success, some races of people have different shared common characteristics than other races, some races of people have higher IQ and brain power on average and this trait is shared throughout the entire race as a recurring characteristic

@FAHxQxAAHSoul I know that's what I have been telling you this whole time we aren't all created under equal circumstances, but we are created equal. America has been diverse and will remain that way. Yes, the majority of our population is white but not everyone has the same beliefs,customs, and traditions. @furiousjuffowup the US has not always been diverse,the US began as almost all either protestant or catholic white european and it stayed that way until the mid 1900's we began to become more diverse,and lately the expansion of our diversity is parrallel to the expansion of our decline
I am not against other races or cultures,but we need to stick to our founding principles,we need to control immigration,we need to stop giving special treatment to minorities,or we will die a slow death

We would have been #1 even sooner i f almost everyone hadn't paid strong attention to our differences which influenced many ill actions bringing negative consequences. We should have shared our desires of a great style of living, peaceful neighborhoods, and great entertainment for everyone regardless of appearance. Ignorance=doom

That's what makes the U.S. so successful, because it focuses on those differences, solutions are found, and with those solutions bonus new things are introduced that make America unique. Now with that having been said, how is it a surprise to anyone that Native Americans and Aztecs/Mayans may have mixed and integrated with Native Americans and vice versa over the course of their lifetime as neighbors? @furiousjuffowup Mexicans Mayans and Aztecs are not natives in the US, examples of native peoples in US are Navajo Cherokee Sioux etc, Mexicans are mixed race people, Mayans and Aztecs are Central American and South Mexico, they were never from these lands in the first place, the original people here are recognized and they can prove their heritage with DNA now
