  • how can I do this with out godaddy?

  • @lacl17 Hi, thank you for viewing my tutorial! I do have another alternative implementing Hype within iWeb. Take a look at my channel videos and you will see a video on how to insert your Hype file using DropBox. Dropbox has a free user account up to 2gb, which with the latest 1.5 release of Hype, you should have plenty of room. If you wish to not use DropBox, I will do what I can to find another solution for you. Thank you again!

  • @lacl17 This is just a follow up, we're you able to succeed with the help of the other suggested video with Hype, iWeb and Dropbox under my other channel video?

  • You are the man!!!! This is a very good tutorial. I along with many others encourage you to continue this wonderful channel. Thanks again!!

  • @mackabeeees Ok, well I was about to suggest me doing another one just for you to see if it would help...you get it working I hope?

  • @thresholdmp thanks for being a good sport. I re read my post and it was suppose to come off as funny but comes off as kind of dickish. Anyways I would rate Sitegrinder 3 an 8 and it works great with Hype. There is a learning curve due to all of the features and you need to be pretty good with Photoshop to wrap your head around complex site design. Check out there site and watch the webinars they are very well done and will get you going with the software.

  • Great video but I use sitegrinder 3. There is so much more freedom and features. Also you could use this vid as a drinking game..anytime he says "umm" take a drink. You would be smashed before the tutorial was over!!

  • @strongpillow Thank you, umm, thank you for pointing that out. :D Yes, "umm" was said a lot during this tutorial, but its the content that matters. Ive myself thought about using Sitegrinder, many programs have more features than iWeb, but what would you rate Sitegrinder from a 1-10?

  • If I made a slide show in this way and enabled the pictures to have hyperlinks - would they still work?

  • @mrilovemacintosh What type of hyperlinks? As in when people view your slideshow and click on an image, they are taken to one of your other iWeb pages or an external page? And are you wanting them to stay on the same window or open in a new window?

  • @thresholdmp Dude great video but you think you can do one using dropbox please !!!

    thanks

  • @t0nyman007 ill see what I can do! :D

  • @t0nyman007 Here you go man! Head back to my channel and you will see your requested tutorial!

  • @t0nyman007 DUDE!!! :") you are freaking awesome!!!! thanks i subscribed

  • Tks again! I have not tried it yet but I understand how to do it so all should be good. If ever you need any nutritional advice (with a bit of an attitude) check out the free "vitaminsandwich" web site . Tony

  • Excellent video tutorial. Thanks a lot for taking the time and energy to do it for us. Tony

  • @TONYMANX999 Thank you for watching! I hope Ive answered as many questions as I could with this video...if there are any questions you have about it or maybe something else, let me know...I'll post a video tutorial on it!!

  • Thanks man! worked like a charm!

  • @mamba4590 Your welcome bud!

  • Oh, I don't have my site up and running, still in the design phase. But I do have a Hype test site - it's made completely with Hype, and then just stuck on 1 Iweb page.

  • @BeyondThoughtMedia I am actually in the process of building my gallery page now! Once I have the Gallery up and running I will explain how to add it to iWeb. Tho one thing you must understand, Hype is just a tool to add motion graphics to a website, not to built one as a whole. Tho you can, in a sense, iWeb would be more beneficiary to you. In my next tutorial I show how to build a sample Gallery in Hype and upload it to iWeb. What type of work do you do?

  • @thresholdmp Atm I'm at University studying Marketing, and at the same time setting a up small Marketing company with friends. Hopefully I can make a good enough website to showcase our projects and drum up more business. It's early days and we have only just got our first client. We do all different types of media - Signs, Graphics, Adverts, Video production and edit, Photography and hopefully Websites...

  • @BeyondThoughtMedia AWESOME! congratulations on your first client! By the way, take a look at our "what we've done" Gallery page and let me know is that's something you were wondering how to do...

  • @thresholdmp Cheers. Your Gallery is looking good, i'll probably try something like that soon. Atm i'm still working on my home page!! I'm trying to get a slider that links!! I have been trying Jquery and things, but can't figure out where to put the link code... also trying to make my own with Hype, but it keeps rewinding first and the url links don't seem to work..

  • Ps. Anyone who dosent have Godaddy or any other web hosting other than MobileMe, you can host a custom site through Mobileme via uploading your folders to IDisk - Web - Sites..

  • Thanks man, nice to have to voice over to it!! I was publishing my Iweb to a local folder then adding the resource folder and changing the HTML code manually!! But now, by adding the file resource folder 'and' the HTML file to the page folder it works just the same.

I'm now tying to get multiple animations on different pages, and hoping I can find a way of getting them to link to Iweb pages etc, without learning how to code lol... Please keep posting vids of anything u think might help.

  • @BeyondThoughtMedia Thanks bud! I can post another tutorial on how to link them together. Now, to be a little more specific. Are you creating different Hype Scenes and wanting to link iWeb Pages to the different Scenes? Or, are you for example, creating a Gallery Page with multiple scenes and want to create a page specifically for that Gallery and want the other iWeb pages to link to the Gallery. Let me know, and also, what is your website address?

  • @thresholdmp Yeah, I think linking a Hype Gallery Page from a Iweb Hyperlink is what I mean. Sorry only just started using Iweb and hype (actually only just gone mac too!). It could be that i'm just over reaching Iweb's capabilities and integration with Hype. If only there was a program that was the best of both + rollovers, you could make some really pro websites without any coding! I'm a real novice and still learning a lot about the best route. Do you know anything about the HyperEdit app??

  • P.S. No I don't know anything about HyperEdit. iWeb is a fantastic easy to use program for building web sites (in my opinion). Once you get more familiarized with the two programs I think you will be surprised at what you can do with them!
