@coggins87 I gotta disagree. Yes Disney bastardised the show with the new version of the original, but I think kids today would still get MMPR. It is the most fundamental of ALL the Power Ranger series and they were watching that up until late 2009 so they should b able to get it perfectly.. Saying that they REALLY didn't need to touch it. The three actors playing the original red, yellow, and black rangers left due to the fact that a negotiation couldn't be reached regarding their pay. They made Saban millionaires, but were getting paid nowhere near what they DESERVED. So, they left and three new actors were hired. The only reason they switched the races of the yellow and black rangers were because they were afraid of being labeled as racially insensitive.

Throw racism into the mix and the Power Rangers COULD have been done in before season 3 even started. As much as it sucks, if enough parents complain (all it takes is a dozen to turn into thousands) the show could have been canceled. Let's count ourselves lucky the most they accomplished was turning Lord Zedd from badass to Rita's husband. Could've been worse.
