When they hand picked obama in office, they knew majority of black people will stick by his side no matter what he does or say. people need to stop being so ignorant. do you actually think the white house will allow a black person to run the country? lmao gtfoh
Yeaaaah! I agree with this guy! We do have "Useful idiots" today- like, Tea Party people, Rush Limbaugh's "ditto-heads" (name says it all) and people who watch Fox News and actually think it's "journalism."
And remember how all these people were ready to let Bush do whatever he wanted without the Congress? People who said to compare the President to Hitler was unpatriotic and disrespectful? People who said "we need a dictator for a little while...." they knew not what they asked for.
I don't understand why some commentators are winging because it's completley logical to compare a man who systematically slaughtered millions of people in horrific ways, to a man making an oil company pay for damages said oil company did to a community/ecosystem/nation. It's like comparing apples to apples. Hitler is an apple, Obama is an apple ergo it's perfectly logical.
Reductio ad Hitlerum, also argumentum ad Hitlerum, is an ad hominem or ad misericordiam argument, and is an informal fallacy.
The fallacy claims that a policy leads to—or is the same as—one advocated or implemented by Adolf Hitler or the Third Reich, and so "proves" that the original policy is undesirable. For example: "Hitler was a vegetarian, so vegetarianism is wrong." The tactic is often used to derail arguments, because such comparisons tend to distract and anger.
@OlSpazzy Your criticism would be true if both policies weren't a slippery slope to the same ditch. Sowell does not compare two different tactics and assert a logical fallacy. He correctly ascribes the same tactics to both people. Sowell correctly says that a democracy needs informed citizenry in order to survive. Plato said it differently when he said that the success of a democracy depends on the virtue of the people. Perhaps you should read the article before plying your vast intellect.
@robertmike57 I don't believe this mans bullshit, but I absolutely love the fact that in your comment abashing racism you are in fact being racist spouting off bullshit about a entire group of people who are generally white. Probably would be better stated as being prejudice, but all around being a fucking idiot.
Is Louie Gohmert mentally challenged or just crazy?
I can't believe this guy was voted into office. Maybe it says more about his constituents.
