  • i never knew you shot with your fingure on the trigger gaurd... i used to do that and i couldnt hit the broad side of the barn, learned to shott with my fingure off that, im not that bad of a shot now

  • @Rawrgoaway One thing not said here is how a sound wave works. A 300 win-mag makes about the same DB's as a 308, but the sound wave from a 300 is longer than the 308 so the 308 "sounds" quieter. A good suppressors makes a short sound wave. Think "thud" not Kaaabbbooomm! Even if you can hear the sound it is harder to tell where it came from. But don't mistake a short wave for a short sound though. The "thud" sounds longer to your ear.

P.S. After hearing the .22 I want one! TSFG

  • i noticed that when firing the .22 unsilenced, even though it got a 156 average, it still seemed less loud than the first gun tested that got 142 average, which seemed like it had more of a lasting boom to it.

  • @Rougewolf he better stop by the booth lol

  • Excellent, your humor makes your videos stand out. Keep up the good work.

  • Outstanding! Thanks!

  • I think Nutnfancy needs to take another trip down to SilencerCo to check out the new Saker 5.56 silencer that is being released at Shot Show 2012

  • @TinySNIP3R Why hes probably going to SHOT 2012 lol

  • was all the shooting done with sub sonic ammo??? or standard ammo???

  • @jeremypeck92 they showed the .22 ammo as standard velocity, not sure about the .40 & .45acp but they did state something to the effect that sub sonic ammo wasnt necessary or is not what the test with..something like that...i would re watch to confirm but im too lazy at the moment haha...either way another great vid and another great American manufacturer

  • i also watched another video from silencerco and they used 6 different hosts including the usp tactical .45 and it was 133 on average... kind of wondering why it was so different?

  • they should've compared the Ti-rant not the evo, the evo sucks compared to the osprey and the ti-rant

  • Nutn I love the vids as well as your pro 2nd amendment and knife rights views. However please note that at 1:42 and before, the firearm is clearly not pointing in a safe direction. Remember that even though you properly cleared the firearm others that are less knowledgeable come here to learn from you. Also every time a mistake happens it is used to chisel away at our rights.

  • Bree........all I can say is d-d-d-d-aaaaaaaaaaammmnn. Hot!!!

  • wow do I hate living in New Jersey... never will I get a chance to use one :( need to move asap

  • She's not a girl.... she's a woman! I love women, girls suck!

  • And I though LabView was useless...

  • i think you should give Bree the office manager my number

  • Want.......

  • Review their rifle suppressors when they come out!

  • impresive

  • I'd love to see more silencer tests/reviews in TNP. Sledgehammer with a suppressed pistol + suppressed AR anyone?

  • is there something off to the right that you weren't allowed to video? it's painfully obvious you are trying to avoid getting something specific on camera.

  • Ive built quieter silencers in my garage with material bought at the local hardware store very poor baffle design

  • Good job Bree.

  • I would love to see how quiet these silencers are outside. Sound is magnified immensely in this indoor enclosure. I would be willing to bet that they really would sound like a whisper out in the field.

  • The 23 dislike are envious workers from Gentech!

  • I would give silencerco this piece of advice i dont know how far they are into the rifle suppressor R&D phase they are but if they created a silencer for a rifle that would give access to the baffles and would unscrew from the front they would probably corner the market on a cool niche of permanently attached baffle groups that would allow for shorter barreled weapons that would not fall under the NFA for SBR. As yet there is no real "decent" suppressor on the market that would allow for that.

  • WOW....that's a mouth dropper, GREAT video by the way everything was serious and professional.

by contacting the company of silencer co. are they able to make a threaded barrel for the m&P9?

  • I was wondering if u wet one of the suppressors how long will it stay wet?

  • i wish my state was easier to CCW and own silencers.

  • sounds like a nail gun.

  • That Mike dude seems like he loves to party, let loose, talks a bunch.

  • I hate idiots that use the power word absolutely... What ass clown retards.

  • Not so impressed, WOW 129 db with the suppressor.........an ambulance is 110 db. These guys need to go back to the drawing board, get it quieter than the ambulance and it might be interesting. 99% of the time we know you are not going to be able to apply lube and shoot wet, try and keep it real.

  • @fishyseal I think you should go do some homework. Look around, and you'll find that .22 suppressors are normally around 135, and max out at 120. 128dB from a centerfire pistol is pretty epic. And by the way, since the decibel scale is logarithmic, that 128 that Silencerco puts out is more than ten times softer than the 140 dB competition.

  • Pretty interesting cans. I'm loving that sparrow. Also, the AAC silencer bit was pure comedy.

  • Do they only make handgun cans or do they make long arm cans aswell?

  • AWSOME!

  • what do i need to do to get one of these?

  • At 25:19 what middle sight is being used on the .45?

  • @beretta989 Burris fastfire

  • reminds me of Robocop's gun lol

  • @93ktm93 LOL. your right!

  • @nutnfancy LOL Riiighhht. I think I know who it is ;)

  • @nutnfancy I'll say.....

  • OHHHHHHMYGODDDDD!!! i need one of each!! thanks nutnfancy and silencerco!!

  • The silenced .45 was quieter than the 22 unsilenced!! NICE!!

  • HE SAID SPROCKET!?!?

  • Osprey: Doesn't clear most standard height handgun sights, looks like it's made in someone's garage. Why are people buying this over the Ti-Rant? Oh yeah it's slightly less expensive.

  • @pbauw Clears my novak lo-mounts on my 1911. Look at my video of me shooting 6in plates at 20 yds at speed with this can on.

  • shoot it all day without hearing protection... you start getting damage at 80-90 dB but wow those do work amaysingly

  • @slowgold20 That's for exposure times of 4-8 hours. Threshold for damage from impulse noise is quite a bit higher. Should probably still be using HPDs though.

  • shoot it all day without hearing protection... you start getting damage at 80-90 dB

  • oh god you were using thunderbolts, had bad experiences with those

  • are silencers leagal i any state without a permit if so pa?

  • @darthbilly97 No. Yes.

  • @darthbilly97 shut up little kid.

  • Excellent video. I learned a lot from it. First, I did not knew that the bullet "jumps" or fly inside the silencer. I always thought that the inside of a suppressor was as tight as the cannon itself. I mean, that the inside was a tube that had contact with the bullet, like the rifling. Very good.

  • What is Nate Davis doing just sitting there when they tour the shop?

    Being lazy.. lol.

  • Is it just the camera or the silencers aren't as silent as Hollywood and gaming taught us?

  • @SpaardaLT you cant completely silence a gun hollywood and every game ever exept army of two the 40th day has lied to us

  • In washington state, what bill is it? Who sponsored it?

  • Yes but why would you use the evo when the ti rant is 20 times better then evo

  • @TacticalCWAT oh, I guess I misread the law. I suppose I wouldn't get one anyways then while I'm still saving for my glock

  • Silencers are illegal in WA, :(

  • @BrothersFreedive not illegal to own just to shoot.

  • @BrothersFreedive No they aren't, just illegal to shoot. A new bill has been introduced making them legal to shoot and it is likely to pass.

  • Mike looks fun to spend a day shooting. these sound great, wish i didnt live on this island so i can buy these.

  • "We like that" *nods* "Yeah quiet..." *nods* lmfao

  • mike has a great sense of humor

  • but nice!!!

  • little loud with the bigger cals

  • EscpdFrm...No the Osprey isn't user serviceable except for the lock.

You'll pay the fee for each silencer you purchase.

  • Very nice -- will have to consider getting one. Thumbs up Silencerco for a good product.

  • Is the Osprey user serviceable like the Sparrow?

Any word on when Silencerco will be reveling their rifle suppressors?

I know just a little bit about the paper work and the $200 fee to be able to own a suppressor (my state allows it, YES!) but is that a one time affair or do you have to go through it with every suppressor you buy? Like if you do it once, paper work is in order, then you can buy as many cans as you like?

  • @EscpdFrmPsykward They answer all those questions in these two videos.

  • Comment removed

  • @Kylef7735 Well, I figured it would just be easier to ask then go though two 30 minute long videos again just to find the answers to three simple questions that anyone who knows more then me could just take two minutes of their time to answer.

  • @EscpdFrmPsykward yea, lol

  • Deer sproket, Incorrect.

  • im in love with this company

  • 22 people have revolvers...

  • I like the look of this product, however, I'm not getting one until the BATF hires people that support the 2nd amendment.

I don't feel like subjecting myself to having my home searched on their wim just because I have legally obtained the paperwork to buy a silencer.

  • @politicalsheepdog

That is incorrect! Tthe law/gov still needs a search warrant to come onto my property.

  • @fredo0621 They don't have any regulation that says they can check on you whenever they feel like it as though you are an Gun Dealer?

I'm just asking. Maybe they don't have as much power as they like to put on.

  • my dad used to build suppressors with a filler nipple in the center that way all the baffles got gelatin in the center And you didn't have to remove the suppressor to fill it with gel.

  • Man, PFI Dude has an awesome handgun.

  • $850??!!! you can buy a AR-15 for that much...

  • yah you should have posted that LOL

  • Why Does mike always look so annoyed and miserable

    in each of your videos??

  • @nainladen Cause hes mike.

  • I like the products from what I have seen so far I want to see some rifle silencers.

  • "That's me on the toilet." Hahahaha that was hilarious.

  • 3:30 I quite understand why they have the little battle in the beginning for. (stabilization???)

  • I am sure these are great can's, but I like AAC and Knights the best.

  • @blackjack427r AAC doesnt compare to osprey as far as noise reduction did you even watch the video? AAC got smoked!! We are talking about a 20 decible difference between the two cans thats huge!!

  • @ridah925 Apparently YOU didn't watch the video. That Osprey was (IMO) unfairly compared to the Evo. ***NOTICE JOSH HESITATE @ 14:24.***

Uhh, yeah, go ahead and compare it to the Ti-Rant then we'll talk.

I am NOT bashing Silencerco. From the video, they seemed to treat our YouTube host with complete respect and generosity and I hope they do very well.

Nutnfancy, did you guys shoot the Evo dry!? Because AAC's website lists the Evo as a wet can.

    ***UNFAIR COMPARISON IS UNFAIR***

  • @angercologist

A wet can? I own the evo and the TiRant 9mm. They are not more quiet then the Osprey line of suppressors for sure. We have tested them. If you think they should all be tested wet you are crazy. How is that real world applicable?

  • @lowdose338 I'm sorry..."real world applicable?" What does that mean? I'm a civilian who would purchase an Osprey for civilian use. Even Mike used pulling gel in the Osprey.

AGAIN...I'm not bashing Silencerco, I'm stating that a fair comparison would be the Osprey Vs. Ti-Rant. I can't make it any more clearer.

If you own a Ti-Rant and an Osprey please post a video. There are very few videos out there and it would be much appreciated.

  • @lowdose338 Honestly, if you've got a need for it, Real world application and situation, any professional would, if he or she wants to be as silent as possible, then the person in question would pre-operation prepare his or her equipment accordingly, as any professional will. Even for practice when you would want to decrease wear and tear as much as possible. Lube leads the way!

  • @blackjack427r I like the quietest one i can find.

  • CNC Muzzle Factory - Things that make rounds go hmmm.

  • Another great video thanks for puting in the time.

  • Nice

  • Nutn. Just got in from my local class 3 and I got to play with the 22sparrow. I turned in my paperwork for my .45 osprey and it should be back in 3mo or so. I'll post a video I also have some vid's of the Action Targets centerfire dueling tree. It's amazing.

  • The Sparrow wet, Sounds like a freaking staple gun.

  • Big props to Silencerco for inviting everbody in to look inside their factory and showing off their products. Bit of a nut up and shut up situation and they did both by nutting up and showing how well their products work in a very scientific manner and how much it shuts them pistols up! lol great job nutnfancy you definitely have a cool job

  • I have to eat my words earlier, apparently it comes milled for it according to the other video.

  • The red-dot appears to be a Burris FastFire red-dot reflex sight on his FNH FNP 45 Tac. Although, he has some kind of modified slide for it that has a groove in it probably custom made just for that sight. Meaning it would be a lot harder than most think to replicate it.

Great video, amazing guns, and fantastic suppressors!

Thumbs up so people stop asking please.

  • @da1krayziethug The FNP45 TAC comes with the rail to mount red dots on from the factory.

  • @Kylef7735 Thanks, but I already stated that.

  • wow that .22 wet was so quiet you guys wher talking over it and could hear you perfectly

  • OSPREY FTW I'm thinking about getting one

  • Hey nutn whats that red dot sight on the F&P .45 tactical?

  • iiiitt's mine. Getting on the horn with Major Malfunction!!!!

  • hey is that a red-dot sight on the pistol at 24:11 if so what type of 1 is it?

  • hahaha airsoft fer surrrre

  • that's really nice , i wish they took it outside and fire both supressor.

    thank you for the video.

  • I noticed a case that maybe had a molle weave on it at the end credits? That would have been cool to cover as well. Keeping it on your person as an option, not the gun is sweet. But constantly using it on the gun might be too much.

  • Are these things only for operators? I've never thought of buying one, because I thought they were illegal.

  • @eleftedg they are legal, but you need to do a lot of paperwork and pay around $200 to have it registered.

  • @hampstershat123

Only legal in certain states, same thing with full autos...some states allow them, others dont.

My state(michigan) allows full auto but not supressors,sbr/sbs....go figure

  • whata cool job working on that stuff, nice

  • do they make rifle cans?

  • @Warbeast911 Not yet, they are going to be soon though.

  • Pure genius !

  • lol @ 23:03 airsoft hahaha

  • I'm diggin' this product!

  • anyone else pause the video about 6 min in & check to see if their phone was going off only to realize it was someone in the video?

  • I'd be curious how this compares to a KAC suppressor. I do plan on getting the Silencerco because of the unique shape and holsterability. Seems like they have a good product.

On a side note, what's up with the support finger at the front of the trigger guard?

  • @MichaelVain You obviously haven't been watching TNP very long. Need I say more?

I like to keep my finger up there to.

  • @AgentMcgeek You're right, I don't watch TNP. If you like to keep your finger up there, that's fine. I've never seen anyone do that except on TV or movies. Can you tell me what advantage that gives you versus wrapping your entire support hand around your shooting hand? I'll be sure to pass it on to every reputable and well-respected shooting instructor.

  • @MichaelVain It's not for a specific advantage that I know of, It's just that it's what some people like.

  • @MichaelVain

I cut that finger clean off with a worm drive skill saw 25 years ago. So for me that is a handy place to keep it when i am shooting a hand gun.

  • @silencercomike

Wow, that had to hurt. Glad you're still able to shoot.

  • awesome vid nutnfancy even greater product

  • Have you thought about having a few short films of Brea firing various weapons fitted with your product?

  • I would love to buy one, how when and where? Obsviosly they dont sell em at walmart. Does some place like Cabelas sell them?

  • Nice vid!

  • When the gun was fired.... I was Amazed, my jaw dropped. Great Vid, keep up the good work.

  • Nutn great set of vids, if i could own a silencer in my state you sold me on these.

  • Hey nutn how do you go about getting a permit for a silencer

  • I loved these videos. I have another company's 22lr can. It froze up on me and took about an hour to get it apart. With a little heat and cold water. I found a product on eBay called Copaslip by Molyslip. It is an anti-seize compound that is good for up to 2000F. Aluminum melts at 1600F, so there should never be any problems. I sent some to one of the country's largest suppressor dealer. He tried it out and loved it. Said it was the best thing he has tried. I hope this will help you.

  • $450 is an excellent price, I will be purchasing one soon.

  • Good on Silencerco for making non-cylindrical suppressors. It totally makes sense if you have machines to make parts in other shapes.

  • it is a thermonal carbon invention

  • i always thought it was funny how movies play up the "silent" factor on silencers, but damn! that sparrow was incredible!

  • Does the squarish shape of the Osprey cause more muzzle rise since most of the gas goes downward, as opposed to the uniform distribution of the cylinder suppressors?

I know the square shape seeks to take advantage of more space by mimicking the square shape of the slide of the gun, but are there any bad effects of a square shape suppressor (compared to the round ones)?

    Anyone know?

  • @762full Since no gas is escaping downward, there's no net upward force, so not likely.

  • @lkjhgfddddddddddsamn Would you say that the square shape suppressors are basically better than the round ones? (just because they are more space efficient to the gun?)

  • @762full Honestly, I don't know enough to answer that question, so I wouldn't want to talk out of my backside. I have a solid grasp of physics, but this stuff, turbulent air flow and thermodynamics is outside of my knowledge base. (Pardon the removed comments, I was trying to correct a grammatical error.).

  • I never thought much about suppressors before. These videos were interesting to watch. Thanks for posting them.

  • @nutnfancy I might only be just about to turn 16, but I know those are awesome suppressors. I was diggin' that Osprey and I didn't even think it was possible to make a gun as quiet as one with a Sparrow. Anyways, thanks for the video and all the great info.

  • great silencers, but the price!!! in NZ we don't have any restrictions on them so we have more than a few really good manufacturers here, the market is flooded and the prices are really really reasonable, in regards to firearm laws this is probably the only advantage we have over the US = cheap ass silencers. great video btw.
