Hm, normal difficulty, something I'd do. Is it stupid of me to play a campaign on the easiest difficulty(COD=recruit), and then after finishing the campaign I go up a little harder like normal difficulty?

No, it is not stupid. Especially if you have not played these types games before. I typically always play any game on normal difficulty, and then if i like the game - i replay it on harder settings.
