I saw this video in the early 70's when she was on the Muppets. Next to "Long, Long Time, it is my favorite LR song of all time. My God can she sing! and those eyes. Simply beautiful. Timeless.

The difference between youth and the aged is that the young have dreams, the aged have regrets. May we never be too old to have dreams.

Yes, I remember watching this in my parents' family room - late 70's(?). We always watched The Muppets on Saturday night. I'd never heard this song before and it knocked me out then and still does. I have a soft spot for Linda Ronstadt, Kermie and all The Muppets. A little teary eyed right now....must be all the memories....

My heart just melts when I hear this, especially when Linda Ronstadt is singing it. The song was composed by Sigmund Romberg, who arrived broke in the U.S. in 1908 in his early 20s. As a birthday present eons ago, I got a vinyl Mantovani record with the music of Victor Herbert and Sigmund Romberg, including this song. Then, decades later in the 1970s, here's Linda, who once again successfully reinvented herself w/ Nelson Riddle, singing this song so beautifully on The Muppets Show. WOW!!!!
