Most of us Americans are so brain dead from video games and working 9 to 5 that we can't sit still enough to absorb what he's trying to say. Any European newspaper reader would be able to follow Sander. He is a story teller par excellence who will only improve with time. I'd rather bear with his digressions, because it only speaks to his sincerity and devotion to detail. The greatest orators of American politics in the 19th century lectured for hours while people sat on tree stumps.
