lol so retarded.. he just made plain sushi then put some avocado on it :D great art dude really great art :D if you have ur eyes halve closed maybey lol :D
Final plating looks good. Shari on nori is uneven and spotty, when placing plastic film, use an unwraped maki-su to make your cutting much cleaner and let your sharp yanagi do the work. Don't saw with the knife, use the hirazukuri method of inserting the back of the blade with a slight upward motion and then pulling the knife back to complete the cut. Also consider scrubbing the cutting board as well as changing your towel for a cleaner one especially for a demonstration.
I really enjoyed your video its looks really good. I noticed the song playing in the back round it caught my attention would you be kind and tell me who that it, Please?
You can clearly see he is not a amateur, by the fact it is a restaurant and not a home, he is using a stainless steel worktop, large restaurant cutting board, a sashimi knife, he's wearing whites and the maki mat is wrapped in clingfilm, i don't how all you sushi chefs where trained but i bet when you were taught, the chef didn't just spend 1 minutes showing you how to roll a maki, Its not a race when you are demonstrating something, That was a weird way to slice a maki at the end.
Haters wanna hate... Stop drinking the hatorade !! Ey man, just wanna say, thats some cool shit u got going. Getting my girl by tomorrow and i'll try make this, maybe it will give a happy ending ;) :p Peace !
What a waste of time cutting the avocado, hope thats not how quick you cut avocado in service. and learn to use a knife. 1 slide from back end to front
OMG! You have given new meaning to my life. If I can accomplish this before I die....Finding fresh avacados is half the battle.... I would of liked to have seen it cut and spread from the inside out.....thank you so much for the vid....Is that salmon roe at the end..sriracha mayo & thick soy sauce @ end..?
Wow, some really pretentious comments... I say good job to the video poster. Besides, I don't want to watch lighting fast sushi making. This was obviously posting for passing tips along for at home sushi amateurs. Again, good job. My only tip is use your mat once more when you put the avocado on - not too much pressure as to make the avocado mushy, but that will help keep it together when you cut. Well put together, and nice presentation as well.
what kind of sauces did you used?? by the way, you did a good job.dont worry about the haters...that is why they're here ,just so they could learn from you
this is super amateur. the eel doesn't even have the skin off. gross. and one minute to slice an avocado that takes real sushi chefs about 5 seconds. I will make something better and post it.
@dimsumrecipes some people really shouldn't have youtube accounts, always going around causing trouble. thank you dimsumrecipes! hopefully, me and my friend can surprise everyone during potluck night w/ sushi :D
@loveispsychosis if u think u can do better don't just qq show us we would love to see, for me i like eel with skin , also the slice avocado that skill... i can't even imagine u done this kind of slice in 5sec .. haha
@loveispsychosis you are here to show your ignorance or your butt-thinking skills?? Japanese traditional way of cooking Unagi do not remove the skin, the skin holds all the great flavors of the eel in it... even the packaged unagi u find in US is imported from japan and the skin is still on. Which part of the world are you from? do us a favor if u do not know juz keep ur opinion to urself and maybe the world is better with lesser ppl like u to mislead others... dumb ass...
@loveispsychosis normally, one is supposed to say, "thank you for sharing your techniques" and not criticize his efforts. you are definitely one ingrate that was never taught any manners. dimsumrecipes did a wonderful job with his roll.
@loveispsychosis this is a how to dumb ass... thats why it is slow, and if prepared right there is no problem with eel skin. stop trying to act like ou know what the hell you are talking about.
@WolfPackNJC yes it is...you can see the hole in the middle cuts where the pit would be as he is cutting it. And you can see the fatty buildup leftover on the blade when he cuts the next slice. And its thats not enough proof for you..google caterpillar roll...avocado.
@overclockedamd123 I know the caterpillar roll has avocado, but i do not see the hole from where the pit was taken out. Please show me where you see the hole. That must be one very clean and unripe avocado. I'm a sushi chef at Hayashi-Ya in Brier Creek, NC and work with avocados all the time. I could be wrong though.
@loveispsychosis I would LOVE to see that. You know, it's been SIX months and you STILL have not posted jack shit... some might think you're just a troll.

only fried shirp, unagi, avacodo slices, spicy sauce, eel sauce, and masago and this person takes 7min. Wow, now how does their customer wait for their food. I used to be a sushi chef and can push 3 special rolls and less then 5 min. beside he can't even set the caterpillar correctly. lay like an S, put the sauce on it first, sprinkle the masago and not the way how he did it, and cut two small antenna using sprout and there you go a caterpillar roll.
@minimoongurll I thought it was perfect. Esp. in the beginning when he cut the avocado. Those were perfect, thin slices. I mean, I'm not a pro... but I was an apprentice chef, so I at least know what to look for and his knife skills were wonderful.

@lion246lamb Esp. when he cuts the sushi , it was extremely unstable. he litterally pressed down the roll with his knife, rather than cutting it off at one slice by utilizing his blade. He does not yet rely on the sharpness of the blade.
