  • what kind of warriors shoot a man tied to a chair ,who was dying of his untreated wounds anyway

  • what eaxactly leaving england did for this country is still a major puzzle to me. i think its obvious that the biggest rip off in this countrys history was recently carried out by irish bankers and politicians, wonder when will the republican hicks realise this. i suppose they will continue to blame england for this too.

  • why do people like you only care about the economy and politicians. Being Irish is about our culture-music,dance,our unique personality, our history-the fighting irish spirit and our beautiful country.

  • Long Live the IRISH Republic !

  • Some things take more than just the will to be free, it takes the soul and being of those who take up the staff !

  • True inspirations and patriots who we owe so much to.

    Tiocfaidh ar la.

  • Ireland became a Republic in 1 April 1949, although it was independent from Britain since 1922 after the civil war. The civil war was caused by Michael Collins bringing Home rule to Ireland...

  • It`s a little more in depth then that!!

  • And what I'm going to write a 2 page essay on youtube? That is the basics

  • Saying that "The civil war was caused by Michael Collins bringing home rule to Ireland" is very not completly the truth and can be very missleading to ppl. So yes a little more info should have been added!

  • But that is pretty much when it startted!

  • Basics is not what is needed to describe a happening so vital to the average person's understanding of the complex Anglo Irish Treaty, that MCollins was forced to negotiate, with England, it can never be described as basic !

  • Even though I don't condone violence, I cannot help but salute these men. Through their sacrifice we know what was given for our freedom and that has made our appreciation of self-determination even more profound. W.B. Yeats described the Rising with an astounding piece of antithesis,

"Now and in the time to be,

    Wherever green is worn,

    Are changed, changed utterly,

    A TERRIBLE BEAUTY IS BORN"

Nothing else can describe the revolution so deeply and honestly.

  • the only crazy people in USA are southern baptism people full of hate

  • Irish for Ireland- Germans for Germany! Much respect!

  • America for Americans? Do you think you should give US land back to Native American nations then?

  • european have no understand of american history or problems we face

native american have own government and laws and get to pick to be civilians of Usa or NAPG civilians

  • I see from your profile you have a video 'celebrating' the life of Bobby Sands. I presume Irish history interests you? Well perhaps you should reflect on what you posted in reply to me; Europeans know nothing. The same can be said about Americans and Northern Ireland.

  • i guess you don't know about boston were 1/2 population are irish massachusetts has always been big republican support Fact massachusetts doesn't allowed british students or british tourists in bedford massachusetts there is a bobbysands monument

  • As I suspect a typical so called Irish American who knows little of Irish history. It was my people who gave the US at least 11 presidents and provided many of the soldiers for the revolution. It was my people whose churches were destroyed by British soldiers during the Revolution since Presbyterian Churches were stirring up revolt. It was my people that shaped the frontier and held back Indian attacks with their blood. Yeah I do know about American history.

  • please do not use indian that not right use native american iam half cherokee i never know any european that know about my people you another european that believe in hollywood history we never attack unless there wasn't any other choices

  • presbyterian church has funny believe like snakes handing

  • Not in UK or Ireland. Sorry to disappoint you. Maybe some breakaway faction/sect in USA are mad enough for that.

  • presbyterian church broke away from baptism church in 1725 there nothing wrong with be presbyterian majority of the jayhawn were presbyterian snakes handing has been outlaw in many state only west virginian allowed it

  • Presbyterian church broke away from the Baptists in 1725! I'm concerned about your knowledge of history. Presbyterianism in its modern guise began in 1541 as the Geneva church under John Calvin. The roots of Baptism date back to the 16th century, although the first Baptist congregation appeared in 1609 in Holland. While both believe in justification in the Lord Jesus Christ alone, they differ over baptism. They have nothing in common about this sarcament. You need to read your facts again.

  • that what i was always told but baptis are strong believe in end world the coming of the anitchrist southern baptism are hardcore protestant who believe that is there goal to make world protestant

  • All Bible believing Protestant churches believe in the 2nd coming of the Lord, the Antichrist (Some say he's here already) & have a goal not to make the world Protestant but Christian. Its called the Great Commission. Check out the last chapter of Matthew. Whoever told you about Presbyterianism don't believe them, Presbyterians were among the earliest immigrants to colonies. They founded congregations as early as the 1630s. Many American Presbyterians came from my own people the Ulster Scots.

  • answer way have southern baptism carry out campaign on catholic jews muslims etc southern baptism believe that there goal to make world protestant if you talk any southern baptism he or she will tell you only when the world is protestant then god will come

  • NEWS FLASH IRISH PATRIOTS! ! !

1922 we have claimed freedom and the right to self governance snatched from tyranny!

2022 we are a minority in our own country.

    Why? ? ?

Because corporations encourage mass immigration so they can exploit migrants for cheap labour and in the process destroy our heritage! PLEASE SUPPORT THE I.C.P

  • Support I.C.P And Keep Our Peoples Proud Herritage and Culture Alive!

  • perhaps i'm not as well educated as you all are, but england has (sorry) fucked ireland for hundreds of years. i have many relatives that fell in death during the time of 16...michael collins is still my hero. my mother from a border county (cavan) and my father from waterford. i do not hate all english people--that would be "small"--but the english need to get the hell out of our little country and leave us be....but they hang on as they have nothing else left.

  • this is the mindset of a reasonable person.

  • they have done it since the dawn of time. they slaughtered the zulu, stole from india and now the middle east. it seems that its in there blood

  • Our little country, you're not even Irish and yet you attempt to pass judgement on things you do not understand. Also I don't care where you're parents are from, you are not Irish. You're just a typical Americans who sees the IRA (in whatever guise) as romantic freedom fighters. Yeah the Omagh bombing was real romantic.

  • im not sayin the irish are stupid.......oh fcuk it i am the russians took over the winter palace the french stormed the bastille and the irish took over a post office how dum are you people

  • hey Darren, this is the version o the song that i found...erm....:D

great vid n cheers for uploading, keep it up kid ;)

    xxx

  • IRISH PATRIOTS

1 in 7 people in Ireland are non-nationals. 400,000 legal immigrants and at least 200,000 illegal!

We must preserve our culture intact and unblemished for the future generations!

The only organisation that whants to put a limit on immigrants is the Immigration Control Platform (I.C.P)

    Please support the I.C.P

  • Republicans against Racism

why should immagration be seen as a threat to irish identity ? it will help presereve it and for us to understand others further if anything.........

suppose you want all the illegal irish immigrants allover the world deported from their homes as well......

  • Do some research on mass immigration in E.U nations like France,England and Germany and see what a disaster it has been before you start throwing acusations arround about who is racist, I,m certainly not!

I have no problem with people from other E.U countries because they share most of our values, beleifs and work very hard as opposed to people from outside the E.U!

We owe it to all of OUR fallen HEROES to protect this country from all threats, not just to give it all away!

  • So in other worlds you're against people with a different skin colour (unless you don't welcome American or Candians who are also outside the EU also)?

The 1916 Proclamation states that "cherishing all the children of the nation equally, and oblivious of the differences carefully fostered by an alien government, which have divided a minority from the majority in the past".

  • I,m not against anybody, i just want a common sense immigration policy. Is that too much to ask? Is that unreasonable? I was wasnt aware of problems with immigration untill i travelled around a bit ans saw it for myself, please dont brand me a racist!

  • Thanks Darrin42 for All great Videos you put in to youtube..Greetz

  • where does it say Pearse was the President?

you dont make a very good point

  • Look up your history, it is well known Pearse was the President of the Provisional Government my friend. He also held the Rank of Commander in Chief of the Risings Forces(Just as a President today is Commander in Chief of the Nations Army)

  • "Pearse was the President of the Provisional Government"

Well said,no one shall take that title or honour from him and a great hero he was to, to Ireland and all her people, home and abroad.

  • "Yes but Pearse was the president of the Provisional Government of the Proclaimed Irish Republic" yeah sorry but Clake was even his wife the first female lord mayor of dublin said he was and why to you think his name is frist on the Proclaimion?

  • Clarke was just a Commander :S A Failry High Rank in the Rising, but Pearse was the President of the Irish Republic. Thats all I am saying man.

  • yea btw Connoly was the miltary leader of the rising not pearse. the reason pearse went to moore street was because connoly couldnt walk! so it was connloy who desided that it was too much not pearse!

  • Yes but Pearse was the president of the Provisional Government of the Proclaimed Irish Republic, and as such would of had a lot more wieght in his Words than Connolly. Both great men though!
