  • u play halo?

  • Fallout Series, here we come.

  • Comment removed

  • poor nicolas cage

  • wow!!!!! can you make a robotic dick!?!?!?!?!

  • stupid fucking american military

when are the americans gonna invent something usefull for things other than war?

  • @ralfjacobs no youre stupid. the projected use is for logistics, not combat... not until later that is. but yes, its directed at warehouse jobs, things like loading/unloading trucks, moving crates, etc. etc. the point is, this is in fact "useful for things other than war"

  • @KottonmouthSoldiers when the military funds something than its gonna be used for war. get your head out of your arse and look for a change. you see the guy doing military stuff i dont see him carry a heavy box of bolts or something.

military aplications thats the only reason you see military involved in something.

  • @ralfjacobs i agree. however, there needs to be a distinction between military and combat. this thing isnt killing babies its carrying a heavy box of bolts. thats' how it is right now whether you like that or not. will it kill babies in the future? maybe. but it still is "useful for things other than war".

  • @KottonmouthSoldiers good point but i believe that when you carry a box of ammo to a guy shooting the gun you are just as guilty.

    a hypothetical situation:

if i start shooting on the streets and some1 is giving me ammo than he is just as guilty even though he didnt pull the trigger.

and yes it is usefull for things other than war but that never stopped the army from trying to get it completed for 1 task only and that is for war or helping in the war to fight more effectively. look at the a-bom

  • @ralfjacobs alright ill give you that.

the only thing im arguing is your very first comment, that these suits are not useful for things other than war.

you can imagine this thing supplying ammo to troops who intend to kill people with them.

i can imagine this thing saving lives, not hurting them, if it is, say, used in search and rescue operations moving debris or similar.

  • @ralfjacobs There is an issue with your "just as guilty" statement. look up novus actus interveniens. Taking your logic to it's conclusion: Is the company that made the gun just as guilty? the refinery worker who refined the metal? The miners who extracted the raw ingredients? How can you say look at the atom bomb when it is clear that nuclear power exists for other non combat reasons? What about medical isotopes?

  • @KottonmouthSoldiers yes and the usefullness is already created in japan they have this thing mobile and without cords but it can only lift 25 kg and is for people with a disability to help them walk.

this think is gonna be carieing heavy guns i think i have a reasonable understanding about how the us army thinks its all about war.

not about lifting heavy boxes but about lifting crazy weapons.

  • @ralfjacobs lol whenever that gets boring rag head :)

  • America: we're only inventive when it involves the military. Raaaaaad...

  • For the Emperor!!!!!!! Adeptus Astartes! I want one!

  • STFU mentioning halo, if u ever even played any of the games u would know Spartan armor us nothing like this. Spartan armor is more or less a jumpsuit with metal plate on it. This better falls in the category of Terran marine from Starcraft, so long as you added a giant suite of armor to wear on the outside of the exoskeleton.

  • armor lock?

  • Reminds me of S.T.A.L.K.E.R

  • nice work... kool video mannng...

  • 10 years till working power armor

  • . "it's not a weapon" while true it does have militaristic applications such as in Starcraft. The super strength can allow you to use HEAVY armor that is otherwise impossible to wear and use rifles with such a strong kickback nobody could withstand, such as an automatic rifle loaded with 50 cals or maybe stronger???

  • @stamdar1

Yep why it might sound like silly hollywood those are real applications.

    Especially the heavy armor part.

Also the US military has to be the most willing industry to make use of silly Hollywood thingies anyway so I think we'll see it there before we see it in warehousing.

  • I wonder how it feels to make pushups without even applying oneself :)

[also: Is my comment grammatically correct? (I'm from Austria, thats why I ask)]

  • @Biotektan yes it is, though "do pushups" is more appropriate.

  • @Biotektan I KNOW! This is AMAZING! I've always LOVED sci-fi so I've been waiting for this type of thing. Plus, the 1st gen. suit was on a few History/Discovery channel shows, so I knew it was coming soon, but it's STILL amazing every time I see it! As you said, all that strength "w/out even applying oneself;" now THAT'S EPIC! I also saw a bit on the news about the Brits deploying "active camouflage tanks" this year. Go check THAT out too. It's basically low-tech invisibility w/cameras & such..

  • @Biotektan BTW, VictorRovial is right: "DO" pushups, rather than "MAKE." They're both "action" words, but DO implies performing an action, while MAKE implies the creation/construction of something.

Proper: I will "DO" some pushups so I can pound my ex-wife's new boyfriend.

Proper: I will "MAKE" a club, w/nails through it, to pummel my ex-wife's new boyfriend about the neck&brow.

Improper: I will have the blacksmith "DO" me a new sword so I can "MAKE" revenge on him.

    See? Otherwise, you're great!

  • @matThaHatter

Thank you for that nice explanation :)

  • American are creative

  • like Spartans :)

  • and next--- nanosuit :)

  • Given time, the suit will turn into a full armored personal battle tank/armor. Imagine that statue behind him being a model about ten to fifteen years down the road. And 86hachirokubalok is right, some of the tech from the XOS 2 is already being converted for proper prosthetic use.

  • karate kid can do 5 bits of ice

  • It's not really a weapon. It's....a high-tech prosthesis.

  • Fake and gay

  • @MyGrassIsGreenest just like your life!

  • @MyGrassIsGreenest

I see you all over YT with the same comment about your dads boyfriend. Be nicer. Calling your dads life partner "fake and gay" probably hurts his feelings more than you know.

  • i love the double speak. they call war theater. theater is a place to be entertained and enjoy the arts..war is were you go and kill women men children. rape them to extract information, torture....

  • @yappertrap shows your own ignorance. A "theater of war" is not double speak.

one of the definitions of the word "theater" is : "a place of action; field of operations." That has been such for many many years.

  • wheres the one for the girls ? ;( lol

  • it needs to be a full metal suit ;) thad be cool.

  • freeked up!

  • are you a terran soldier??

    o.O

  • Chuck Norris Better watch out

  • If I learned anything from Ironman, the XOS 1 would kick the XOS 2's but in a battle

  • i think it would be funny to see two guys with these suits battling to the death

  • i read this in time magazine

  • @danman1950 I did too haha

  • am i the only one who wants this?

  • Needs armor, only half an inch would stop all non-armor piercing rounds.

  • add jetpacks and you get reapers

  • [Witty comment referring to pop culture]

  • Wow, terminator! Except for the mortal meatball in the middle...

  • all it needs is a arc reactor .

  • can see where this is going... I am Ironman

  • Got to get this for my job^^

  • and next --- space marines :)))

  • @LegionarMaX Master Chief coming soon?

  • @cptkou wrong game...i think

  • This is awesome! There is a lot of potential here.
