  • This is a very "complete" video. =p

  • No surprise that you have so many songs from this game on the list... One of the greatest sound tracks ever

  • I CURSE YOU!

  • 1:06 :D :D :D :D

  • This song makes me want to go and smite Edward Cullen where he stands.

  • 1 person is a TWILIGHT READER

  • i personally like the bloodlines version of this song better. It has a more eerie feel to it

  • @DivineBanana It isn't supposed to be eerie. It's fucking Simon's theme

  • @Supermariofan14 Which is why the composer chose an eerie intro and a constant, deep base line? Have you even played a Castlevania game? Most tracks, if not all have an eerie and unsettling tone to them. It's the castlevania signiture and therefore I think it fits the series better. Don't get enraged because I have an opinion that you disagree with. And if you do disagree why don't you put up a logical and valid argument?

  • @DivineBanana I don't find vampire killer, his former character theme to be eerie, nor do I find Divine Bloodlines to be creepy either. Only the beginning of this song ins creepy to set the mood for the game and to surprise the player with the sudden change of theme in the song

  • anybody else remember when you were almost done killing Dracula and this theme came on? EPIC

  • WHY CAN'T THE VOLUME GO HIGHER???!!!

  • One of my favorite Castlevania games! And yet, when I hear this song, all I can think about is how one of my first actions in the game was to hold down the whip button and shake my whip all around.

  • *nostalgic as hell*

  • *moon walking down the steps*

  • I used to love this game as a kid.. just for the intro stage. It's all quiet and moody, but then you cross the drawbridge and BAM.. you get hit with this tune that just sucks you in even deeper.

Not saying the rest of the game is bad, actually quite the opposite.. but playing that intro stage for the first time is something I will never forget.

  • @ThomasMink something I will never forget either, them goose bumps form just listening to this again.

  • holy shit i looooooooooved this game... the music is making me shiver

  • 1 person can't figure out why there's so much shit on the cover

  • Castlevania 4 probably the best in the series. Sorry but Simon Belmont is best protagonist of any Castlevania game. As for LOS I'm sure you'll find it to be an excellent game so far I love it!! Btw it plays noting like GOW, Plays more like LOI. People bitch and moan that it doesnt have Alucard or Bloody Tears but honestly SOTN had original music too with just some remix's of music in DraculaX. I do have to disagree tho I thought Lament of Innocence was a good 3D castlevania

  • You know I LOVE Super Castlevania IV.

But now I am finding A LOT of people suddenly saying it's their favorite Castlevania game.

And part of this might be because James the AVGN said it was his too.

  • yes!!!!! finally!!!!

  • @whit52489 the current world record is 39 minutes and 17 seconds for a playthrough, but yeah most people take over an hour for sure

  • one of the best themes out there. great addition!

  • Oooh, good pick. Definitely one of my favorites.

  • just great

  • Best Castlevania ever.

    PERIOD.

    (super)epic soundtrack? check.

    (super)amazing gameplay? Check.

    (super)badass bosses and monsters? check.

    (super)awsome graphic? check.

This is one of the games that DESERVES the "super" in the title.

  • @Aedesyr well just like Super Metroid, Super Mario World etc :P

but yeah, it's just super epicness. <3

SNES will never die! best games ever! :)

  • *sigh* I remember when vampires were cool and scary and didn't FUCKING SPARKLE!!!

  • @MikeELtheGamer Those were the days, when vampires sucked blood and not cock.

  • @Xavior86 Well, a female vampire (Selene from Underworld) sucking cock is acceptable. But I know what you mean.

  • @MikeELtheGamer they of secretly sparkled XD

  • @blazikenowen No... The only thing in Castlevania that really sparkles outside of water is your blood as it bursts out of you when you die. No vampire sparkling is allowed here.

  • @MikeELtheGamer yup now i can't publicly announce that Vampires are epic anymore, makes me want to do Simon's Finisher from Judgement on Edward's sparkly ass

  • @MikeELtheGamer the next belmont has to take the cullens on, too easy XD

  • Yeah the Castlevania is out!

and this ist my favourite track of all castlevania parts ever released ^^

  • An utter classic, I remember when i got super castlevania iv for my snes about 9 months ago, i was taken aback at just how mind bendingly amazing it really was. I should really take a pause from all the modern stuff im playing at the moment, and play it through again.

  • FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF SHOULD;VE UPLOADED WITH THE GATES OPENING AND EVERYTHING ;-;

new castlevania? you mean harmony of despair or lords of shadows? cuz HoD totally attracts me more than the God of War rip off.

  • Wow,this is amazing! It is good that you uploaded this!

Castlevania is one of those games that with great gameplay, they also have great soundtrack.

  • about damn time :)

  • I only played through this game once and still remember this tune.

  • Those god damn Medusa heads! Great theme!

  • This was my first Castlevania. I will always remember those moments and feelings when I played it with my new friend in first grade.

  • oh, i love this theme!

  • Classic masterpiece.

  • ALso plays during the final battle, so it adds to the "hero" theme :)

  • Stage 1 music right? Triple Crosses kick major ass!

  • One of the all-time greatest video game soundtracks of all time. I remember when I first rented this game I was floored. Everything was perfect. The generational leap from Nes to Snes will never match up to anything today, that's not to say today's games aren't great, many are, but it was seeing a game like Castlevania IV for the first time and comparing it to what had come before.

  • We don't get the game until tommorow D:< DAMN EU!

  • Brings back memories when I used to play Circle of The Moon on GBA

    Great game!

  • Super Castlevania IV was always my favourite. I didn't like when the series turned all non linear

  • Wow, I've never played this Castlevania or any Castlevania for that matter....but DAMN this song is so AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

  • This theme is epic as all hell.

  • Omg, am I the only one who thinks this sounds (suspiciously) like Underground Concourse?

  • Love how this song played in the very first level, as well as against the final boss's last form. Are there any other games that do that? So unique!

  • @drunyon214 Castlevania, the only game that you cannot rehash OST or VGMs without being happy. ;D

  • This song is so amazing. As is this game. I didn't fully appreciate it until I was older, probably because I couldn't beat the last stage for about 4 years.

No doubt, this is one of the 10 best games and songs on the SNES.

  • I just got Lords of Shadow and its kicking some serious ass... except fot he camera, it sucks!

  • Epic.

  • How has this avoided the Best VGM till now? :D

  • No way! I just started playing this haha. I LOVE this theme.

  • CV IV will always have a special place in my heart, and that's one of the many reasons why.

  • I <3 Super Castlevania IV

  • Oh and BTW you put "Simont" instead of "Simon" in the title.

  • No "new Castlevania" can ever compare to the testament that is this holy game. This is the best Castlevania in the entire series and will forever remain that way.

  • @genesisSOC Not to mention this new one has nothing to do with the game series' plot. :S I was severely dissapointed to find that out.

  • @thedonoftrek It's just another God of War. A mockery of Castlevania.

  • AWESOME!! xD

    So many memories :D

  • This brings up so much good memories... T-T

  • This one's a definite classic in my book.

  • Very nice!

  • @whit52489 Depends on how good you are. You first time may take several hours. Once you get experience it's very short, but also very enjoyable.

  • I think AVGN did a series of vids about Castlevania lately because of the new release.

  • Oh Yeah!

  • Finally! Finally! The most epic Castlevania song is here! I just loved this theme as soon as I heard it.

  • I hear the new Cv is a lot more like GodOW than the last Cv games.

  • OH YEAH! THATS WHAT YOU CALL NOSTALGIA ^_^

  • lol dude you should have put this theme 779 video ago

  • Now I get Hank Hill's singing. Awesome song, thank you.

  • WHAT A HORRIBLE NIGHT TO HA-oh wait.

  • @manofaluminum9000 lol what a horrible night to have a horrible night.

  • As long as it's relevant, I finished Konami Wai Wai World today. Where's the Vampire Killer from that one?

  • Best Castlevania game ever.

  • Wow. This is a coincidence of terrific proportion. I am doing a video game music series on Facebook and this was the song that I played just four days ago! It's halloween season, and I have Castlevania on my mind.

  • The Castlevania Chronicles version was also awesome.

I can't decide if this or Dawn of Sorrow are my favorite Castlevania games.

  • This is the most perfect theme ever created for a man who kills the things that go bump in the night.

  • The newest Castlevania is out today! I'm super busy this week but I'll definitely pick it up friday.

Castlevania IV is one of my favorite games of all time. I think it might be the game I've finished the most, I go through it 3-4 times a year because to me it's a perfect game to play in short bursts when I don't feel like doing anything. Forest of Monsters is my favorite original theme from this game (I even made a cover), but the soundtrack is overall amazing.

  • @SupraDarky

well mate, i'm sorry to tell you this...but sadly, castlevania lords of shadow, falls under the same shit all "3-D" castlevania games suffered in the past, they just don't feel like castlevania games, you might like the game if you are into hack n' slash games, and shadow of the colossus (you will understand when you play it) is castlevania cursed to stay on a bi-dimensional plane for the rest of it's existance?

  • @Iwannaplayssbb The thing is, for me to have what we call a "classic" Castlevania, it automatically has to be in 2D. For 3D Castlevanias, my expectations are actually very different and quite lower. All I know is that I'll take LoS over any 3D Castlevanias we've had so far, especially the two on PS2/Xbox which were all corridors and corridors, backed with excellent music.

  • @SupraDarky i heard the combat's great, its the adventuring that sucks.

  • @SupraDarky

    /agree

  • @SupraDarky Here here, though I wouldn't say my expectations for a 3D castlevania are necessarily 'lower', just radically different. One element I love about LoS is the surroundings; they look fantastic and give a lot of depth to what is essentially a very straight-forward game. Shame there's a lack of solid melodies, but the characterisation of the Belmont character as someone who needs to be just as merciless and demonic as the enemies he faces is a good idea, if heavily over-played on in LoS

  • @Iwannaplayssbb if you love 2-D "platforming" games only then buying Lords of Shadow and expecting to be happy is just silly.......

Personally i loved both LoI, and CoD ( the PS2 3-D games). i agree with Supra the level layouts were repeatitive, however, there is a lot more elements to a greatgame which they did have (awsome music, interesting epic bosses, TONS and TONS of items/spells/summons/stuff to do)

  • @Iwannaplayssbb no its not its fucking awesome how dare you say that!!!

  • @Iwannaplayssbb I think Castlevainia would be good 3d if it followed more of a Devil May Cry direction of game play rather than God of War, but that's just me.

  • @SupraDarky Just got it, been playing for about 3 hours straight, it's not a clone of anything, in fact everything it gets compared to, it actually dominates over! Well, maybe not Shadow of Colossi, but other than that, it seriously is an adventure game that's convinced me it's safe to trust the adventure genre once more(I didn't like them for the longest time since they seemed to lack so many things and Zelda was all I could trust)!
