  • for the complete version of this Najdorf series /watch?v=xOq31xxjt-4

  • @toucanrazor monopoly is more strategical than chess?

do you know how to play chess?

  • This is the najdorf.... if you think you benefited by watching this you know nothing about chess...

  • too short a clip to be of any use. Waste of time.

  • Fake

  • I think it's amazing that although Bobby Fischer had social problems, Gary Kasparov seems to be fine on that level!

I wonder what his IQ is?

  • @Rboysblaster About 190, I think.

  • actually IQ only matters if u plan to be 2700+ u can be 2000 with a mid/average IQ

  • @concept015 "actually" go read Magnus Carlsen's comments on the research between IQ and chess performance.

  • @toroga1 what does it say about IQ and chess?

  • @angeriod ya know i totally forgot.

  • Kasparov is like a soldier

  • IQ means nothing

  • thanks for the post, too bad the video got cut off. Where can I find the second part?

  • @OnlineChessLessons search *whatever you're looking for* torrent. Just add the word torrent after it and download :)

  • @pacmandem Thanks!!

  • @OnlineChessLessons nowhere u have to buy it and get some hours with kasaparov on ur fritz or rybka chessprogramm

  • @GoldenBoyXCM no dice. thanks anyway though!

  • @GoldenBoyXCM - Trying to minic the play of a computer stagnates a chess players game and short-circuits their ability to become a better player.

  • why does the video cut off?

  • ok beware topschachde they totally rip you of and then lie to you!!!

vorsicht vor topschach das sind voll die abzocker und lügner.....

  • Kasparov the friendly ghost ;)

  • I think Kasparov - is the second Fisher in chess!

  • @enthusiasmism ...Bobby had retired from chess. You weren't there. You don't know. So please don't make statements about something you don't know, based merely on rumors you have heard or seen in silly 5 minute YouTube video's. Because of Bobby Fischer and his great achievements, in the 1970's, more people were playing chess than ever before and U.S.C.F. memberships reached an all time high. Bobby increased prize money and playing conditions for chess players. Let him rest in peace. Thank you.

  • @enthusiasmism ...to do with the incredible chess games he produced. Most geniuses are looked at by us, "normal", people as weird and having, "mental issues", because we can't understand them, as we are not on the same level as they are. Bobby was an absolute genius. What is, "normal"? It's being like most people, but is that a good thing or would it be desirable to be better than most people? Finally, you are only 32 years old, which means you weren't born until 1979, many years after Bobby...

  • @enthusiasmism ...uses the very same demands for a World Champion to defend their title that Bobby Fischer made back in the mid-1970's. His World Champion title that he had devoted every moment of his life to winning was stripped from him by the F.I.D.E. and given away to someone who never played a single match to earn it. Any normal person would be very angry with this and walk away from it all, as Bobby did. Let's remember a great chess champion for his games and not things that have nothing..

  • @JohnQuincyAdams1 that is great point he was a genius and though rash in alot of the points he said things that in some collegic levels of debate he wouldve one. But since they were said to people of "normal" stature he was crucified so i believe just what you said i remember him for his chess and not what matters on the side.

  • @enthusiasmism -Bobby Fischer's success was short lived? That's not so at all. Bobby dominated the chess world from the late 1950's to the mid 70's, which is a span of almost 20 years. No Grandmaster before or since has achieved what Bobby did. Watch the video on here, "Bobby Fischer - Beats the Russians". No one but no one has ever achieved what Bobby did. The F.I.D.E. wouldn't allow Bobby to defend his title per his demands, which were perfectly reasonable. In fact, the F.I.D.E. today....

  • Shut up Garry.I don't have time for this! Just tell me the move :D

  • who is that guy explaining Gary Kasparov's game? He seems like he's having a hard time explaining chess

  • who is that guy explaining Gary Kasparov's game?

  • these lessons originate from which software or programme?

  • @metalboostable It looks like a file that's been downloaded to play on Chessbase 9 or 10...the latest version is 11.

  • Jason Repa why do all of your siblings have different last names?

  • Hey Jason Repa , is it true you were arrested for soliciting a 12 year old?

  • Fischer was an asshole who was good at chess. Jason Repa is an asshole who ISN'T good at anything.

  • When Jason Repa dies, he won't be buried. It's illegal to plant dope lolz.

  • Repa: Keep posting the address of the convenience store. They appreciate the business lololz

  • Repa claims to be an IT professional. "IT" standing for "Idiot Twit". Of course, Repa is unemployed.

  • Fischer was an asshole who was good at chess. Jason Repa is an asshole who ISN'T good at anything.

  • bybelpedo (Jason Repa) is a deluded fruitcake.

  • bybelpedo (Jason Repa), like his role model Fischer, is his own worst enemy.

  • PedoKing/Repa was named that because he likes 8 year old boys lolz.

  • PedoKing/JasonRepa is unemployed, was expelled from 3 high schools, and has a chess rating of 1780.

  • And we're going to take somebody named PedoKing seriously because?

  • Hey PedoKing/Repa: is it true that you had 18 accounts closed by YouTube?

  • PedoKing is a mental case named Jason Repa. Look on the internet, especially Usenet.

  • PedoKing: you're full of shit lololz. National Master my ass.

  • PedoKing/Repa was named that because he likes 8 year old boys lolz.

  • Title's misleading..The Najdorf has already been played( btw it's the pawn move to a6).

  • Scientific American had an article on IQs and chess. At the top level the key question is how much time they spend focus on the game, even with an average IQ. Around the middle levels IQ can help you be a good player. Magnus Carlsen claims he is rated so high because he is not smart enough to be distracted by other things than chess. But another study did show that practicing chess tended to build logic skills faster than practicing logic.

  • @neoaeonian i rather practice on mathematics and proving mathematical theorems than playing chess, at least i'm learning a more useful skill plus building a spacial-logic skill. even though it's slower

  • @a552bcx but by playing chess you learn many other things as well ,chess is not just math and tactics it also teaches you that every decision one makes in life is a move that will ultimately effect ones life .its a teaching tool keeps you focused helps you to remember to do your situps pushups squats dips jogging eat healthy and stay ahead of the game of life . in my opinion chess is faster then ones own life but i feel it makes me more aware of the decisions i make and how they will effect me .

  • @jabrightlefthook thank you for your insight. i fully agree.

  • @paulrodberg my pleasure

  • @a552bcx that is a good point but a scary thought Everyone has there own outlook on things :)

  • @neoaeonian Thanks for sharing this man. Real interesting.

  • @neoaeonian Good point. I also think it brings into question the validity of IQ tests as a measure of intelligence.

I think chess is certainly good for developing patience, strategy and concentration. These are developing connections in the brain.

  • Brb - pulling out an arbitrary IQ number then, after not citing it's source, using it to make some stupid argument on the internet.

  • @claumayl Bobby was the goodest!

  • @Leinadi goodest :DD

  • I know this comment will get marked down many times....but why doesn't this guy use his extreme intelligence for something great for the world. At least that guy with the 210 IQ from South Korea is a successful engineer. I'm sure Garry could have used his intelligence to further the world. Chess is fun, but it is just a hobby, a pastime. I feel like he is just wasting such a unique brain on, essentially, a game. Go ahead, vote down.... Just saying

  • @shib340 Kasparov is actually trying right no to turn Russia into a democracy with freedom of the press. That would do more for the world right now than any engineer could do.

  • @skinnyjohnsen No he's not. he's trying to turn russia like it was back in the early nineties where russians killed russian while Zionists like Berezovsky raped russias wealth. Kasparov is an awesome Chess player but his politics are not in the interest for russia

  • @shib340 - just saying that instead of commenting on this video your could have worked 1 minute at a soup kitchen to further your community....just saying.

  • @shib340 It's a complete myth that Kasparov is that intelligent. And btw he entered politics (for all the wrong reasons. Kasparov is an 'idiot savant', like Bobby Fischer used to say, not a genius at all.

  • @shib340 i desagre that he can do what he wants?

only beacause he have a high iq, he have to do something important, what is the logic of that?

be a engineer to make the word better?

are u crazy? if u wanna do "somethign great for the world" you have to do hard work.. and in the list of the things you have to do, i'm sure that become a genius is not in the list..

  • 10 powered by 40 iq

  • He has! an IQ of 10^40, a one with 40 zeros

  • Comment removed

  • Bobby Fisher was more good, in my opinion.

  • @claumayl your minority opinion you mean :o)

  • @restlesness

I agree with him as well.

  • Correction: He has IQ of over 9000.

  • IQ?! for chess players you dont seem very rational

  • it stops so we have to go to there website xD

  • The only one that compares to him is Karpov

  • why does it end when it starts to get exciting??

  • We are so damn lucky to have this legend teach us a little bit about the najdorf.

  • Yeah, I'd say an IQ of 190 qualifies as genius.

  • Before people make ignorant comments about this legend, pehaps they should see his wikipedia page. He had the highest ever rating, world champion god knows how many times, he trained Magnus Carlsen (Chess's next Fischer/Kasparov), he beat Anand, Karpov, Short etc (that's a great list). He was a genius at the game.

  • @andmarkcg wikipedia!? my wikipedia page says my cock is the longest on the east coast do u believe this too?

  • @andmarkcg he worked with carlsen for a few months but carlsen was already near top of the world at this time. the main thing is kasparov taught carlsen how to work hard.

  • @beniceokay , Ah, I didn't know this. Thanks for teaching me something I didn't know :)

  • this guy was the world champion for 20 years and have an iq of 190

  • world champion for 15 years an n1 for 20 years ... ;)

  • @anubitebv over 9000

  • @anubitebv No, his IQ is 135. It's irritating to see everyone propagating these empty myths.

  • @anubitebv its a common mistake to think they have high IQ's (studies have shown), they just have a very well developed visual memory. off course, they're not retards either..

  • @RockySeven7 No? Look at Fischer ...

  • @RockySeven7 well even if he doesn't have high iq he is a genius, whatever

  • @HerrFickt he's a genius because he's good at chess?? Tiger Woods is good at golf, is he a genius too??

  • @adamsbeer good point

  • @adamsbeer yes

  • @adamsbeer

golf requires physical ability''' therefore not a genius''' chess requires mental ability therefore is considered a prodigy''' / genius'''' seeing 10 moves ahead on a chess board is basically incredibly genius beer belly get rid of it haha

  • @adamsbeer lol dumbest comment ever, chess is a mental and calculative game, golf is much less than mental, seriously, have you played chess, have you met someone whos a chessmaster?

  • @rapiyo chess is a fucking board game, not unlike monopoly or scrabble. this guy is playing chess, not splitting the human genome or finding a cure for cancer. "golf is much less than mental" what does that even mean??? have i met a "chessmaster", no and neither have you.

  • @adamsbeer ok i get it, you really just dont like maths and problem solving questions, its understandable, some people are just really plain dumb for those things

  • @rapiyo seriously epic fail! go back to jerking off on your kasparov posters. you're an absolute clown!

  • @adamsbeer Go back to jerking off to pictures of Boy George! You're a frustrated eunuch with a low IQ and an empty bank account. It's not our fault you're too dumb to be able to compete in chess.

  • @adamsbeer Chess is a board game to YOU. This is because you're a simpleton who lacks the mental capacity to be able to grasp the wonderful complexity of the game. All you see are little wooden (or plastic) pieces on a board with 64 squares, not unlike how a dog or cat would view the game.

But to intelligent people, chess is a medium for mental battle. It is a game, science, sport, art, and hobby with a rich history, a truly international following (even China plays) and massive body of theory

  • @adamsbeer As I already explained to you, my low IQ simpleton friend, chess is much more than a board game to people who possess the necessary intelligence.

I think you better get ready for your night cleaner job at MacDonalds, kiddo.

  • @BybelPedoKing come on man there is a nicer way to say this, head is nothing without compassion :)

  • @adamsbeer I didn't give a thumbs down to anything, retard. You're arguing with so many people in this thread you can't even keep track anymore, lol.

Keep laughing away, laughing boy. You're the joke here!

  • @adamsbeer Anyone who compares chess to monopoly is clearly mentally retarded. There is no point trying to reason with this imbecile.

  • @BybelPedoKing HARSH.... but true.... LOL

  • @BybelPedoKing It was a game for the history books, tensions were high. Kasparov was the race car and Karpov the thimble. Garry made a a bold move: He sold all of his stock in the electric company...this allowed him to have enough money to finally put hotels on the entire light blue district and Baltic and Mediterranean....

  • @BybelPedoKing I don't know if he is retarded or not,but you are definetly the most arrogant way too much self-esteemed richy boy prick and oh boy would I like to play a chess game with you and then smash the fucking board off of your face ! :)

  • @BybelPedoKing monopoly > chess in terms of difficulty.

  • @TomValedro only if you're playing a 10 year old

  • @TomValedro No.

  • @TomValedro

    Mr. Kibitzer,

Monopoly is a game based more on chance than strategy. Chess is completely the opposite.

You would know such things if you weren't so ignorant.

  • @TomValedro Please explain how monopoly is more difficult than chess.

  • @adamsbeer This braindead piece of trash is an embarrassment to Canadians.

  • @anubitebv iq's mean nothing, they're not a real method of measuring one's actual intelligence

  • @rebelsouljaz Yeah, you're just bummed 'cause you have an IQ of 98. :-0

  • @rebelsouljaz IQ is most certainly a real method of measuring one's actual intelligence, just as an elo chess rating is a real method of measuring one's actually chess strength. You sound like someone who is bitter because you have a very 'modest' IQ as confirmed by a test.

  • @anubitebv no way

  • You have no clue who you're talking about.

  • where is the rest of the video?

  • For me at least this video is in English. And will people stop saying they're better than him? For God's sake, he's possibly the greatest player ever.

  • I was once thrashed by someone working and serving the customers in Victoria Wine shop while calling out the moves to me with the chessboard at the back of the store.. and then he went through the moves with me on how I lost during his break .....I have a certain respect for chess players.....

  • @ArseneLupin2009

We we talking about Kasparov making his lesson in English not in Russian.

He was told to teach not Russian kids but British and American ones.

  • This is all russain.

  • This is too short......I enjoyed what I saw, but then it ended....

  • lol! Same here, KaisKites!!

  • Get the program, Fritz 12, worth every penny.

  • Мдаа...Имеет российское гражданство, причисляет себя к российским политикам, но учит шахматам не русских, а американцев.Все абсолютно логично, Гарри.

  • @Bobo10091

Hey, what are you talking about? Eng is an international language. Don't you think Russians so stupid not to understand plain english?
