  • I am now 45 Years Old and I do remember this movie and only have seen it when I was eight years old. I loved the movie but never remembered the name of the movie until I looked it up on YouTube key wording it as the witches house and the pancakes and actually took me to the "Winter of the Witch" with the Happy Magic Pancakes.

    Thanks Witch.

  • @johnbtiger Me too. I forgot the name of the movie and tried to look it up under names like "witch cooking blueberry pancakes" and things like that. I saw it few times in elementary and I'm 44.

  • Amazon.com sells this DVD for $60. Insanity. :-(

  • I love the New England accents! Has anyone read the kiddie book this is based on? It has the pancake recipe, which is actually rather bulky in flour, not quite as smooth as you usually pour out. Oh, but the key ingredient is the chant in the recipe, of course. The book is called "Old Black Witch" .

  • thanks for posting!!! I watched this as a kid in school and love it!!!

  • "Witches. . . come from the very WORST families!" :D I'm happy I got to see this strange film again.

  • I think this film is more relevant in 2010 than it was in 1968. We all need the pancake. Believe in the power of the pancake!

  • This is one of my favorite childhood movies ! I remember watching this in school during the 70"s. what a great decade and free from all the political correctness stuff. Thank you for posting and bringing happiness to people. I remember the wonderful Halloween parties we used to have back then and everyone had a great time.

  • @9frosty5 Now kids can't have any kind of parties with the word Halloween in it. It has to be a harvest party. It takes all the fun away from kids. Glad I grew up in the 70's!

  • I can't believe you found this! This is one of the earliest memories watching this in grade school.

  • I remember this when I was 4 or 5. This film was one of the reasons I love Halloween so much! Thank you! This is such a treat!

  • I wonder of JK Rowling named Hermione after Hermoine Gingold.

  • I was sitting in the dark last night and strolled down memory lane to 1972 when I was in second or third grade and remembered a film we saw in class.I looked up Weston Woods films and couldn't find what I was looking for,so I looked on Google and searched for titles I thought might be it and my gosh here it is! I had only seen it once in 37 years and smiled to see a slice of my youth unfold before my eyes. What a rare treat it was.A real blast from the past! Glad to see others remember it too.

  • I share your feelings and search to find this clip. Saw it in the 4th grade(~1975). Glad to know that others had the same joy from it.

  • I believe this is Burgess Meredith as the Narrator.

I have been looking for this for decades, the last time I saw this was back in 1975 at a Halloween School event (before the whole political nonsense removed Christmas, Halloween, etc parties from school).

    Thank you!!!!!!

  • Tim Burton could do a remake of this movie.

  • Please no.

Spare us from tainting such a wonderful piece of our youth.

  • I have wondered if this was a dream or real for ever. I did see it at school in the mid 70s Thank you for posting it.

  • Wow, thank you so much for this!! They showed this movie in the mid 70s at the public library. I'm the youngest of eight and none of my siblings remembered it, though I've tried to convince them it existed. I can't wait til they see it! This was a total step back in time and it did my heart good. THANKS!!!

  • Thanks for posting both parts of the video!
