Yeah. An easy way to tell the difference is Guitar goes up to 4x and Bass goes up to 6x. Also, at 5x You get a Bass Groove and the track turns blue.

there are notes being played. You dont just go by the base note thats being played. When you slide your fingers across the fretboard, it creates a tone, which in turn is also a note. So obviously if you want an accurate chart, you must add the slide notes. That I think is where most of this confusion is.

Im a big fan of A7X, and actually, they took notes out of this song. I also know how to play this on real guitar(not trying to brag) so i know how many notes there are supposed to be in certain places. They probably only took out 8-14notes, dont feel like counting. So its pretty accurate. But the guitar hero chart is 100% accurate.
