I don't know if anyone mentioned this, but if I'm using a private DNS and websites like YouTube keep their servers up (because Google will be damned if they will just give Obama access to their machines), you can't really "turn off" the Internet. This shows that they are really running scared. I get all my news from the internet and they don't like that. I just read everything and decide what to believe and what not to believe. What I don't believe I still take under consideration. Contrast that with the MSM that make the editorial decisions for you on the grounds that they are experts. The government hates our freedoms. Where did I hear that before. If this were a real threat they could just suspend the "al-Qa'ida" accounts.

I just hope that we the American people can unify and see beyond the superficial changes affecting us. We have to eliminate the possibility that this president changes our landscaping forever.
We need to impeach him as soon as possible, please write to your congressmen and make sure to communicate your fears with an ultimatum that if congress do not act against it, they will be voted out of office when the time comes. Hopefully we still are going to be able to vote by then. A concern patriot.

ok, how about this, the intent of the legislation is to give the President immediate authority to shut down federal government websites if attacked, which would include a future Republican President.
Cyberspace attacks by North Korea has been recently inflicted on South Korea, it's widely believed China has attacked the USA as well, in limited manner.
Sounds like something at least worth considering.

Actually when I think of this, if you got past metwork firewalls, you could control employees computers, which hafve access, passwords to various databases. But companies have been remarkably sucessfull at protecting their data so far. It is their responsibility, not Uncle Sam. The people want, need and demand 24/7/365 access to the world. And the Rockefellars should stick to blowing donkeys.

They could create a disaster, round up people in FEMA camps and shut down cell phones. We are the USA, not China. Companies are intranet based for the most part.
