  • The other side of the stone grader restores fast cutting. Depending on the tool you're sharpening, the stone will stay at the finer finish until you use the stone grader to restore fast cutting. Shaped tools, such as gouges, will eventually wear through the finer surface, exposing coarse grains again.

  • What happens to the stone after you polish it and use it to refine your grind? How do you take it back to 220? How long does the polishing change the stone to a finer state? Do you have to do anything to the wheel to take it to it's original state? Thanks for your post.
