The sound of these is so hard to describe. It's like water. They're so smooth and fluid. I almost bought a pair once but couldn't justify spending over £300. Ended up getting a pair of 14" HHK Manhattan Jazz hats for £250 :)
I got these.. they are awesome! Like them a lot :D Definatly a good buy for what i'm playing. Does anyone knows what kind of melody/song this drummer is playing to in this video.. i like that song a lot too :)
i really cant decide between these or aax x-celerators... i have these and i like them but i wanna hear the xcelerators in person. i might their brighter sound better...
@jesusfreakmusician14 I've tried the AAX X-Celerators and they sound fantastic! They are bright, glassy and more crispy than a standard hihat because of their Mastersound/Sound-Edge bottom. I highly recommend these hats!
@MJFAN2220 The AAX X-celerators are very nice. they have a much trashier sound then in these videos. i own both of them and personaly like these a little better. just my opnion though.
i'm actually thinking about getting one of these three pairs of hi-hats. Zildjian K Custom Session hats, K Custom Dark Hats, or the K Mastersounds. What do the K custom session hats sound like to you?? Anything like these evolutions. I need a really crisp hat without that annoying ring to it
@DrumCoalitionWithWar I asked a similar question to a zildjian worker and he told me only but good things about the session hat... the more heavy top hihat makes a dark but strong sound that is pretty versatile (i asked for a zeppelin tribute band). also if u like to play on a more quite jam, you can put the bottom on top and top on bottom to make a quiter and very groovie hat. The k mastersound is a good crispy hat, but darker than the session. And the dark hat, well I just prefer the session.
i dont know, i like the crispness to it. And i've been getting around to playing louder gigs. My drum teacher let me use his 14" K Custom Dark hats at this one open mic thing. It was a loud open mic gig and they barely cut, but then this guy named Ben gets up on the drums and puts the Rezos up and i dont know they just sounded really good in louder situations and in the quiet parts they were really crisp-like.

@CGDrummer96 George Kollias does not use these hi hats. His artist set-up from the Sabian website shows that he uses 14" AAX Stage Hats.
