The engine is flooded, that's why the car cannot start ! Pumping the gas pedal makes it only worse. Push the gas pedal DOWN AND KEEP IT DOWN! Then try to start. But only two or three times, then wait at least 10 minutes befor repeating this procedure again. That's how I have been told to start a VW bug when flooded.
I think you need to hook up your coil positive or negative wire or put the rotor back in the cap. Might want to get a pedicure while you are at it too. Are those real Berkinstock shoes?
