I am American and this was my very, very, very, VERY first exposure to Doctor Who. Before this, I knew NOTHING of Doctor who, or David Tennant, Eccleston or regeneration. So when this came out in America, Imagine turning to this on SyFy and watching this police car ride in this blue police box and not. come. out. for like three seconds. Needless to say, Our faces were priceless. Thank you 8th Doctor for introducing me to MY Doctor, 9. I have been now for four years EVERYTHING Doctor Who.

Personally, I think If the cop had gone in, NOT reappeared, they had gone into the Tardis, then apparently several hours OR days LATER, he had come flying out, THAT would have me flat on my Back laughing! I've been a big fan of the Doctor from long ago, I remember hearing/reading that people had gotten Lost (hmm, tie in to THAT show?? lol) inside a few times!

I think this could be somewhat a reference to the 60s unrelated Doctor Who movie where a British constable (the actor is the same guy who played Wilfred Mott, 10th Doctor's last companion) accidentally went to TARDIS thinking it was a police box. BTW, if the new series ever shows a Time War arc, Paul McGann should come back to play 8th Doctor in flashback or other ways.

LOL! That was a great scene in an otherwise mediocre movie. Poor Paul McGann. He made an awesome Doctor, and he barely got a chance to show it. We need a two parter in the style of 'The Three Doctors' where McGann gets to cross his time-stream and drop in on Smith.
