Indeed, when i was 8 i thought this was the best game ever and saved up some movie from the christmas of the previous year including paper route money to buy this game, it ruled my world and was superior to the excellent yet black sheepish Super Mario Brothers 2. I even had some of the merchandise especially Mcdonalds stuff to t-shirts and that kind of thing.

A classic! i remembered being hyped about this 23 years ago when i saw an upcoming thing for it on Nintendo Power magazine at 8 as the previous year on my 7th birthday i got an NES with Mario 1 & 2 and Zelda, i was excited for SM 3 and i even saw The Wizard in theater as it gave us gamers a preview of this game, i even had some christmas money saved including paper route money saved and bought it, it ruled my world.

I remember the time when Nintendo's games were meant to compliment their system's already impressive library of games. It seems that starting with the N64, they lost all support and have to create the headlining titles for their systems, until the Wii. Granted, the Wii had an excellent idea, but it had a crucial flaw; horribly outdated hardware, and the main reason a lot of developers are properly focusing on it.
