@RolaDeCachorro The program shown is the interface to the ISY-99i INSTEON controller that comes with the ISY-99i product. Find out more at the mobilincstore's website.
@kamloopsblazers1 MobiLinc Pro and MobiLinc HD have an optional plug-in called Resource Manager that offers timer functionality with the ISY series of INSTEON Controllers. With one of the ISY controllers and the Resource Manager plug-in you can turn any device including sprinklers into a custom timer.
@MobileIntSolutions could you maybe do a tutorial on how to set that up, because I am a little confused on how it would all work? I'm sure other people would like a tutorial too!
@griffgriff100 Each router is a little different, but the basic concept is the same. Identify your external IP address and enter into MobiLinc for the External IP (SmartLinc) or SSL IP (ISY) then open your router's configuration page and forward TCP traffic to your Internal SmartLinc IP or ISY IP. There are more detailed instructions on the Mobile Integrated Solutions forum. If you have any questions please email me. A walkthrough would probably help illustrate how this works.
@DS251 No. A PC or MAC is required to setup the ISY through the JAVA interface, but once it's setup the ISY runs by itself, no PC or MAC required for the ISY to run its scheduled programs and timers.
Yes, through the ISY lights can be set to auto turn on or off through the day or night.
Yes, the JAVA interface to the ISY is compatible with the PC and MAC.
Hi, i would like to know if i need any other device to active it. If not could you tell me how to make an account for it and how to make it work i really would love this program could you tell me what to do. Please respond quick.
@sahrajnis Look at the end of the video where I list out all the equipment you need to get MobiLinc on your iPhone controlling your lights. You need the ISY, INSTEON-enabled light switches or devices, and a WiFi router for your iPhone/touch.
At the end of the video I list out all the equipment that was used in the video. The computer program comes with the ISY-99i INSTEON controller from Universal Devices. MobiLinc talks to the ISY and the ISY talks to your INSTEON enabled lights and devices.
going to get the PowerLinc Controller 2414 and download the free software. Does this work easily over 3G or EDGE network? I've got a ton of x10 modules so this will be great controlling it via iPhone. Thanks for the Demo!
No computer is necessary to control your lights or devices. The light switches have been replaced with INSTEON compatible switches that talk to the central controller called the ISY 99i. The ISY is a standalone device that plug into your home network and listens/controlls INSTEON devices. iLinc on the iPhone talks to the ISY on your network through Wi-Fi and 3G/EDGE to command the ISY to turn lights on and off and receive device status.
This looks great. And I'll definitely be checking out the app for my iPhone. But I was wondering how you are communicating with the ISY device without the Java interface. Just lookin' to make a super simple web app with similar user friendliness as your iLinc app.
Thank you! iLinc communicates with the ISY the same way the JAVA interface communicates with the ISY. Both use SOAP over the web to exchange messages with the ISY. The 99i version of the ISY also offers a REST interface over the web to exchange information. This would be the interface to use for your web app.
The program is the java interface to the ISY device. It isn't a seperate program, you use your web browser to talk to the ISY. Through the browser java interface you can configure the ISY to talk to all of your Insteon devices in your house.
iLinc talks to the ISY over WiFi, 3G, or EDGE to control your Insteon devices.
where did i can download this programm who started your video ?

Is a PC need to be running for the ISY to work? Can lights be set to turn on/off at set times of day? Does this software run on a Mac?
