Blackberries are made to be always one, thats why they have a standby button. Your suppose to take the battery out 1 time every 2 weeks for 15 minutes for the unit to rest. And thats it. Blackberries are made for heavy email and enterprise services for ALL TIME USE, thats why booting up shouldn't be a problem considering everyone who owns a BB keeps it on night and day.

That's normal for a Blackberry. All of them take a really long time to boot up. Good thing is, you don't have to do it that often. The Tour's battery will last you about 2 days with normal use.
