  • Torkil har scoret, he didn't say Torkil, he said "Føroyar hava skorað xD"

  • vest og midt-telemarks dialekt er veldig ligt færøysk og islandsk på noen vis.

  • ej forstend færøysk mykje lettare enn islandsk iallefall. : 3

  • Heh, then I reckon all the stories I've heard about Faroese visiting somewhere in Norway where everyone could understand the Faroese language. Lingual ancestry's nifty, innit?

  • But new norwegian, swedish and faroese has -a, -an and -ar endings compared to danish and bokmål norwegain.

But all in all then Faroes sounds very much like western norwegain if you hear it in the distant.

  • cool :p I think that Faroese has similarities with diffrent norwegain dialects spread around norway.

I think that the western dialects of norway seem very wooly and thick compared to faroese. where as faroese is more sharp.

But even thow then the western dialects have the kj sound that faroese also have. like Eg veit ikki/ eg veit ikkje.

There are extremly many common words in nynorsk and faroese.
