I - I - I'm still having problems. Yesterday I opened this 'book' and all the words were upside down! And - how do you "roll fast forward"? On my scroll I just roll it out on the floor. This 'book' thingumy is >>way<< too complicated - it'll never catch on.
medieval times are portayed with gross exaggerations that take fable for fact. That barbarism was ever the dominant idea running rampant is an illogical lie.
Reminds me of a friend who took a help call from somebody who couldn't get his computer to turn on. She said, "Are you sure it's plugged in?" He said, "I can't tell, all the lights are out." :-)
As demonstrated here the transition from the scroll to the codex was difficult. And now there are electronic book readers, a combination of both formats. And so the advance of information formats continues.
Oh man, my husband had to call 911 because i nearly died of laughter, this is the funniest shit i've ever seen, god damn them norweigans, they are so damn funny i cant even describe how FUCKING funny these guys are. @GangsterJawa I'm not, this was a certain case in which books weren't used to teach. Homeschoolers have varied levels of education, depending on the parent. Some have extraordinary educations, some can't do algebra.
No, this is in the far future where iPads and its ilk has completely replaced books and papers. Whenever someone wants to access information from (already obsolete) books of the past, they would refer to this video.
I sometimes have the same trouble at work with those things called kompputars! ;) It's a comfort to know that Norwegians in the Middle Ages were also struggling with new technology!! ;)
Hysterical!! I just got finished doing something on the computer that SHOULD'VE taken 20 mins...but wound up taking FOUR hours because it was so user-UNfriendly. We found this for some comic-relief!!
My company upgraded from Scroll OS 10.0 to Book 1.0 and there was a mini revolution. The workers were incensed and demanded we return to Scroll. Of course we eventually got the hang of it, but it was a rough century
