As hard as I try, I can NOT see this particular teacher as racist. He seems like he's trying to bring some intelligence to a subject that is void of that. He is not the problem. Our unsophisticated culture is. He was making a genuine distinction in the terminology from a cultural linguistics interpretation by him.
