  • :( not all the videos are free meanies!!!! I'm broke :'( あくま

  • Applemilk!

  • does datte mean "but" in this sentence? チケットはもう売り切れだって

at first i thought datte was a verb, there, but it doesn't seem to be a form of desu. i am pretty confused!

  • @ogicu8abruok0 Is that the entire sentence?

  • @ogicu8abruok0 that means "they said the tickets are already sold out"

datte used in that way refers to something someone said.

  • man i wish you guys were my japanese teachers~~

  • I would say だって is more of an interjection while だけど is used to add additional information. When you use だけど you always extra info, similar to ただし。You never just say だけど and leave it at that. With だって you don't necessarily need to say anything else. You can just yell だって!

  • @gokuo64 dakedo could be used the same as desuga???

  • @guhimura They're actually the same as desu=da and ga=kedo.

  • @guhimura Dakedo is informal and desuga is formal :)

  • @gokuo64 That's actually very well put.

  • @gokuo64 I agree with you! ;-)
