If you reactivate the ray sphere at the end your karma meter goes black and you are stuck at Infamous. If you wish to play as a hero you should start a new game or play a previous save before the choice of destroying or activating the ray sphere comes again.

If so, shouldn't Cole have learned all those cool powers for InFamous 2? Like the:

-Charged Electricity Beam

Those powers are awesome! If Kessler learned it, shouldn't Cole have been able to? Ah well. Maybe if there's an InFamous 3, we can learn those.
