@devilstoysuk2 those are the Clerks "inaction figures". "zero points of articulation" lol. The ones up there are the first 3 waves (clerks, mallrats, dogma) and a couple from the 2 other waves. there is also the 8" talking jay and silent bob figures, the 8" bluntman and chronic figures that are signed by kevin smith and jason mewes. I only have a few retro TMNT figs MOC as well as all 4 of the NECA TMNT and SDCC Mouser 3 pack MOC. Id say 90% of the figures I've bought int he last 5 years are MOC.
I thought the issue was acceptable. I am protesting the variants, they aren't even original, B&W???????????/ seriously? that's not just lazy it is insulting. The first 4 issues ok, whatever. Raphael, again whatever but doing variants now is lame. My local comic shops all reserve the variants to select customers so I am reduced to ebay. I love the direction of the series so far and haven't been this pumped since City at War.
@chriskmfdm you're 100% rite with the variants.having a B&W version of the colour copy isn't too creative at all. Sorry to hear about resorting to eBay,I'm definitely one of the "select customers" at 2 local comic shops. I approached them probably 4 months before the first issue dropped and requested as many variants in my file as possible.I was lucky enough to drop in one of my shops this weekend to find an Eastman sketch cover waiting for me in my file though. My excessive buying paid off lol.
@chriskmfdm Im also loving the on going series more and more with each passing issue, i can't wait to get my copy of the new issue this Wednesday. Civil War has also been one of my favourite story arcs in any comic book to date. I really hope IDW will release a hard cover collection for those issues.
Thanks for uploading the new vid. I understand I don't have to get every cover but if there's a series that I'm buying it's hard for me to skip a book cause I can't have gaps in numbers in my long boxes, even if the series is crap.
@TheBatmanNerd Well from what i have heard the worst is over as far as the variant covers are going. Looks like we will be only seeing around 3 per issue now. As far as my collection goes there are no gaps in issues, nor will there every be....i have at least 6 copies of every issue in the new TMNT series now. I need an intervention lol.
@IrrIsponsible LOL I'm thankful someone else actually shares my opinion, this is the first video i have posted that has stirred up any emotion from anyone. I hope that the Donatello and Leonardo Micro-series stay more in line with the Raph one and can add more too the ongoing series as apposed to be being one off stories. Thanks for watching
@suicidalkangarooz Oh, I'm aware. I just think that releasing anywhere from 4-8 covers for a single issue seems a little crazy.I don't plan on picking up as many variants anymore.I'm spending anywhere from $30-$50 a week on comics, and when TMNT hits at the end of the month sometimes I'm pushing $100. I'm not buying several copies because I intend on selling them, I them buy because i love the turtles and one day I would like to share them with future generations of my family.
I can't believe what i'm hearing! The art and the storey was exstremely nice. This is one of my favorite books! O'well as a hardcor tmnt fan I respect your opinion.
Wow, I wasn't expecting this, I actually really liked it, and I'm disappointed that you might turn people away from it. I thought it was a ton of fun, and exactly what I would want from a issue about Michelangelo. I could understand someone not enjoying it, but not to this extent. I thought the art was very nice and fit the more lighthearted story, as you shouldn't have an artist with a darker tone do an issue about the comic relief character. Well, to each his own, I look forward more reviews.
@suicidalkangarooz i doubt that the 50 people that may watch this video will be swayed by my opinion.I can agree with your statement about the art matching the story, but i just didn't care for the writing or art. The art feels rushed and like the inker just went out and inked the story boards before the pencils were fully rendered.I have given every other issue in the series pretty good praise and this book just didn't sit well with me.Its only my opinion, if someone wants to read it they will.
Good to seeing you looking good in front of the camera bro :) I like the 3rd cover best too :) Shame you didn't like it and I won't buy it either.. such a missed opportunity there on IDW part to something great.. oh well..Thumbs up to this video though..
@devilstoysuk2 Hey dude! thanks for watching and not nailing me to a cross about my opinion. This issue is what I envision the new animated show to be like, which is fine but i really wanted the comics to stay with a more mature tone. If the series retains this flow they will be eating peanut butter and anchovy pizzas in no time!
Bro, could you tell me what figures are on the wall behind you? Also do you have any Turtles mint on card?

Also, I think telling IDW that making so many variant covers will cause you to give them more money isn't really a great incentive to stop.
