Healthcare-NOW! has received confirmation that, in a display of Congressional leadership, Congressman Anthony Weiner [NY 14], will introduce a single-payer amendment similar to HR 676 to the House Energy and Commerce Committee's portion of the tri-committee healthcare legislation TODAY.

As your constituent, I thank you. Run with this and we will back you.
Saying you support single payer health care is good, but it's not enough. Speak out on the floor in favor of it. Talk about your support for it in the media. Fight for it!
Yes, but I do appreciate you(Mr Weiner) addressing the question and taking the time to talk to us. The Single Payer issue is a really big deal and I admire people from Ohio who have a verbal warrior like Dennis Kucinich fighting for them. I thank you for your response and hope you will show more support and seek real answers as to "why not"
Last time I checked, there are 21,000 more US troops heading to Afghanistan alongside a surge in contractors there, including a 29% increase in armed contractors. Does Weiner think the $106 billion in war funding he voted for is going to pay for one way tickets home for the troops?
"New York Democrat Anthony Weiner, who voted against the war funding in May—when it didnt matter—only to vote Tuesday with the pro-war Dems, sounded like an imbecile when he made this statement after the vote: 'We are in the process of wrapping up the wars. The president needed our support.' What planet is Weiner living on? 'Wrapping up the wars?'
Poor Mr. Weiner looks tired.. that man really works for Americans

Thank you so much for your work and energy towards a better healthcare system. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be to debate stupidity.
