no one could possibly send in a professional portfolio before professional training. right? They want to see that your willing to learn

What i did is since i dont have much recording equipment, is i made a beat on Logic Pro and sent that in. Wasn't amazing or anything but it did show dedication.

a VFS admissions advisor spoke with me and said to either compose a short sound design piece or compose a short original music piece. so i did :)

I think the voices should've been more aggresssive like jaseth1337 mentioned, but this vid was amazing! if this were a movie, I'd tootally watch it.

The sound effects are amazing, voices could be slightly more aggressive.. I think he should be shouting/roaring "FOR THE EMPIRE!!!". The music could have been more dramatic and epic too. But overall very nice work!

sound effects are really, REALLY great... but I'm sorry to say I hated the voices - i cant really say why but i just thought they were a bit lame - and the music was far too 'jaunty' for me - it should have been much more ominous and epic.

People: please know that this is SOUND DESIGN. It says so right in the beginning. The animations were done by Games workshop (it says so aswell).

Very smooth animated motion. The only gripe with it was the lip syncing at the beginning of the battle around 1:01 to 1:03. The lips really didn't have to move so much. The music choice could have gone with more low tones like drums, trumpets, base, cello and the such. The violins where too misty and light hearted.

As a Sound Designer and a Warhammer fan, I'm not sure about the music choice. Its sound a little bit out of Mark of Chaos concept. But maybe its your new concept ;)
