Alex Van Halens least favorite song of the whole VH catalog. Eddie wasn`t happy with it either. The record company put a lot of pressure on the band to write a hit.

So the boys got in a circle and hummed out things. Fleetwood Mac`s "go your own way" was out and really popular so it was used as the example and it`s obvious. DLR wanted to call it "Dance Lolita Dance" but Ed convinced him to stay with "Dance the night away" Ed didn`t like being "forced to puke songs out in the studio"
