a few weeks ago i got an email from soe that they reactivated my acnt for a free week so i logged in to revisit old haunts. i made my way to freeport and visited boomba 1 last time. stood under the gates for a moment, sat by guard munden and /thanked him for helpin me 12 yrs ago by killin a large rat that almost got me. this song began playin and my heart sunk, i miss my old eq pals and our adventures. i camped out & uninstalled eq, those days are long gone and all thats left are great memories

@jogu78 I had the exact same feelings when I heard the song, I got bummed out for a second when I thought of all the good times and adventures I had with friends from gamings past. But its long over now...only memories.

@jogu78 check out project 99, its a free private server that emulates everquest + ruins of kunark - corpse runs, exp loss, ecommons is packed as hell with buyers/sellers, etc. its free!

I never could get into Freeport unless i was invisible. This game became so real, I once dreamed that my Dark ELf wizard was accepted in Freeport, just like it was accepted in Queynos for killin so many gnolls.

lol i remember playing this game so much i had dreams about it too. i loved to kill lady shae/guards and the monks in freeport i remember you could sell the monk headband/sashes for alot

@cult2dionysus rite! i remember making those low level freeport-qeynos runs and they were epic feats of heroics. freeport also had those hidden tunnels though which came in very useful for KOS players, geeze remember when you could be KOS to an entire race of a game.
