  • Damnit, I can't do it with the classic guitar...

  • why you dont upload no more videos ? youre latest viedeo is since 1 year ago ?! am i right ?

  • You are a Jacks on Fan don't you? xD I can see like 2 more in the back

    btw: nice guitar dude

  • @77reyland

Well I was, but I've only got this one left now, and I'm about to sell it on Ebay. Now I have a Schecter Hellraiser and a couple of Les Pauls; latest addition with active pickups. Will be showing on YouTube very soon with some new cover videos! Please visit my channel page and check out some of my other covers!

  • @DrSlackBladder yeaah pretty good guitars and song by that way

and which pickups do you preferr¿? active or pasive? just an opinion

  • @77reyland

Until very recently, high output passives. But I'm blown away by my latest LP with EMG81s.

  • @DrSlackBladder Good EMG's are really good specially 81&85 I've a Jackson too and had thought of changing the pickups but I never get decided to xddd

  • wow very nice

  • @Simone9IM

    Thank you.

  • isnt the guy too big for metallica ? :P

  • @TheRoninthebox

I thought I'd just about seen every comment on my videos from good, to bad, to fake, to inspiring, etc.....but never a comment such as yours. Thank you.

  • you should def do a cover for, The day that never comes. great videos

  • I keep coming back to this video when i need pointers with the song, your playing is deadly accurate, cheers!

  • YEAH!

  • dam nice playing

  • awesome cover

  • You Sir have greatness running through your hands and i hope your skills and raw talent gets you noticed soon...i wanna hear more!!!

  • cool guitar man !

  • how do you switch from clean to distortion?

  • @Myrie2k11

    See same discussion below!

  • @Myrie2k11 He's using a tube amp probably. it gives a natural distortion when it gets turned up past a certain point. its what modern distortion pedals are made to replicate because a lot of shitty amps nowadays have no tubes, just computers that replicate the tube

  • @Myrie2k11 dude are you serious? with a foot switch, deuh

  • i hate how people say there jelous of him....hes like 40 years old...i can play that and im 17 :/

  • @Arsenal2good Cool story bro.

  • Very good cover man :D

  • Good song, Good guitar, Great cover.

  • do u use any effect for the part that starts at 4:00 ??

  • @tortex4481

No effects pedals at all, just amp.

  • @DrSlackBladder ohh weird it sounds diffrent

  • @DrSlackBladder One of my favourite parts, it's almost a tremolo picking but it's not, and it's easy.

    Lol

    Nice cover btw.

  • watch my cover please.

    \m/

  • fuck thats a nice Gat

  • The intro needs sweep?

  • such a sad song

  • i dislike because im so Jelous.. and hey how do you play the intro fast part do u need effects?

  • @YouGuitarGuy21

    Practice; no effects!

  • @DrSlackBladder i agree with you , practice and practice

  • Do you sweep pick ?

  • U are the best ever!!!!

  • how do you use the pickup selector to turn on distortion?

  • @funofsk8ing

see answer a few posts down!

  • @DrSlackBladder i saw but i didnt get it, if you only have 1 volume knob, how can you turn down for one pickup?

  • @funofsk8ing

I have vol knob for each pickup, they can be controlled independently.

  • @DrSlackBladder oooh i thought it was 1 volume and 1 tone, my bad. thanx anyway, thought i wont be able to do that on my strat :(

  • peavey vypyr?

  • @SEMJASE7777

    no!

  • @SEMJASE7777 It's a valveking man!

  • nice guitar

  • i give you the name rhoads 2

  • 2:35

today i have destroyed a string with this solo -.-

  • nice rhoads jackson :)

  • nice rhoads jackson :)

  • nice rhoads jackson :)

  • anyone else doesnt see any string? =O

  • @DrSlackBladder this kid must be blind

  • @DrSlackBladder Lol, i think he means he cant see any strings lol.

  • @SickMetalAddict what are you watching it in 120p ?!?!

  • you and those randy rhoads jacksons lol you sound good yet again. :)

  • dude how do you switch from the clean part to the distortion parts without even using a pedal or standing up? by the way, is a guitar with only a humbucker good? cause I've got one guitar of the FirstAct brand. It isn't famous like jackson or esp but I only have that while I work and earn some money so I can buy a jackson rr js30 with a better amp THANKS ....

  • @harimarockfan95

Think I just switched between neck and bridge pickups for clean/lead parts, with volume rolled back on neck pickup for clean parts. The Kevin Bond Signature Rhoads on the wall in the video has only one humbucker; great for metal but not that versatile. Many other things matter so much more than number of pickups......

  • @DrSlackBladder Dude i dont speak english much so i didnt understand the message properly what you mean by the volume rolled back on neck pickup? you have the volume knobs for both pickups seperate?? thanks in advance sry for my english

  • @harimarockfan95 turn your amp's volume to high or mid-high, turn down your guitar's volume , it'll actually turn it down a little bit but actually turns down the distortion, when you want disto, turn the volume up , vis verca

  • Do you know anything i can download on my laptop that would let me put in a song from itunes and listen to it at like 90% speed or something? And that can separate each thing, like you put in fade to black and you only hear the lead guitar or the bass or drums?

  • @714834

WIndows MediaPlayer does the speed reduction, but I don't know anything that strips individual parts out.

  • I like the way you play it, kirk is a legend but he rapes the shit out of the wah pedal waaaaaaaaay too much

  • can i jut say one thing ur fuckin awesome

  • @Drslackbladder man can you tell me if a distortion pedal is necessary for some metal songs?do you use one at this video?TY

  • @2587chris

I used a distortion pedal on only two or three of my covers; not for this or any of the other thirty something! Just amp overdrive channel. And I don't even own one now; when playing live I use no effects, just my Engl Screamer amp.

  • Nice guitar and Nice Skill !

Greetings from little gary moore. :)

  • any tips for playing the intro solo. I'm just a little slower than the recording. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • @TheHunter157

I sent you a personal message; metronome and gradually building speed is the method I use. Hope it helps!

  • great cover man.I am 18years old and i am going to buy my new guitar in a bout a week.Got a lot of things to learn :)

  • HEY GUSS WHAT ..IM IN LOVE WITH THE WAY YOU PLAY IT

  • are you profesional guitarist?

  • @lukaa9

    only in my dreams......

  • @DrSlackBladder no I mean have you finished some kind of music school, you stuff.....do you know theory and thats things?

  • @lukaa9

no; a little via classical lessons when I was eight years old, but nothing I use now. can't read music anymore. i'm just a self-taught rock/metal player who uses tab now....

  • @DrSlackBladder damm.......you should go and learn music theory, I dunno is it correctly but you should go for solfeggio(some kind of music theory).

  • @lukaa9

    Why?

  • @DrSlackBladder so you can make better songs :D

  • @lukaa9 very goooood!!!!

  • very nice cover you played it perfectly

  • hello sir, im thinking of buying a jackson, but i dont really like the frets they've got, im thinking of swapping the regular frets with jumbo frets, do u think that would mess up the sound too much? or make it harder to play, id love to hear a reply.

  • @bullshitproof

Don't these guitars already have jumbo frets?

  • @DrSlackBladder nope, they´re regular, almost like acoustic guitar frets. anyway, jumbo frets are somewhat more sensitive and give u that, well les paul kinda sound. its just that u look pretty uh, old lol so i thought u might have a little more experience. so do u recomend i swap regular for jumbo? id really hate to swap them and get a shitty sound, id rather make sure they´ll give me good results.

  • Well,I'm an amateur in electric guitar and I find Metallica's songs hard for me,but you make them seem way too easy! Keep on covering :)

  • awesome !! lml!!

  • watch my solo cover please

  • hey dude your video is awesome! but I have a question that I though you would be perfect for answering

1.- I'm thinking of buyin' a squier strat with a 30 watt peavey amp, do you recommend it to play that kinds of music? (metal, thrash, etc.) thanks by the way

  • @harimarockfan95

Thanks. Personally, I don't like Strats, and generally you would not find them playing metal. For the same money I got myself an Epiphone Les Paul and swapped out the pickups for something hotter (see my other vids), or you could get a low end Jackson. But of course some will disagree, not least Iron Maiden's guitarists, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc.....you don't say which Peavey amp model, but as long as it has a decent amount of gain I guess it's ok.

  • @harimarockfan95 dude i would wait a little bit to buy a guitar that is definitly not a squier, cause those are made cheaply and aren't made for metal at all. Get a low end jackson or esp. If your low on money which no offence AT ALL but is what it seems since your buying a squier strat, i would say buy an esp v-50. my friend has one with a line 6 spider IV 75 watt and it plays nicely, that great for a first guitar or even a guitar after you've played for maybe a year or so.

  • @StormBlitzM37AL thanks hahaha and by the way I'm sorry I replied you this late hahaha I think you're right but here where I live in, the instruments are so expensive even when they're not worth it (in some cases) hahaha I didn't buy that squier so I'm thinking of perhaps buying another guitar cause I want to play more like thrash/speed metal first as a rhythm guitar and then maybe as leader.Hope you can see my videos in a future ;)

  • @harimarockfan95 ill check out your videos if you make them

  • Show your face pleaasssee !!!

  • good job good to hear on a sad sundy morning thanks

  • i'm having trouble after the 22nd fret bends on the 1st string. Any tips?

  • @ItachiUchiha953

Practice slowly with a metronome and gradually increase speed only when perfect at lower speed. Works for me!

  • ok video is good but how can you using that v case guitar while sitting ? :D i m thinking about get a new v case guitar but i m in trouble with use it while stting

  • @chakilltush

    I find it very comfortable!

  • @DrSlackBladder Or you're just hiding the huge balls it takes to play this awesome? :D Thumbs up for you!

  • I think I just found the greatest man on the internet?

  • exelente!

  • How do you do the part at 2:35! The tabs suck and no video explains it

  • Wow, sweet cover! Must take quite a long time to learn the solo^^

  • @AbsoluteTunesHD no it really doesn't just less than a day

  • god job man! i was wonderig if you could post new videos with the new songs of metallica like all nightmare long. it will be cool.

  • yeah!! yeah!! play that solo white boy .......:)

  • @pratystevie Duddddddeeeee hes maybe 30-40 years old xD how u can call him boy :D :D :DD : :D

  • When Kirk Hammet has a sick day this is the guy you call lol great job man

  • man i have trouble at mastering the speed at 0:33

ive been playing for 5 months with a very cheap amp and i have to play each string which is very demanding

should i buy a new one that can sustain sound or should i just practice it? because i see you dont play each note on that part and this is because of ur amp

  • I'm having trouble with the solo part at 5:35, does anyone got any tips?

  • @WouterQOTSA

Learn it perfectly at half speed with a metronome, or playing along with the track at half speed in MediaPlayer, then increase to 60% until perfect, then 70%, etc until 100%. I use this technique for every new solo. Good luck!

  • @DrSlackBladder Thank you, that would do it.

  • hey maan! that's really cool ;)

  • <3

  • Ever think of doing some online guitar lessons you're amazing, love the covers.Goodluck :)

  • you are kirk hammett?!?!?!?

  • Q maestro por dios!un groso,un solo perfecto,te ganas mi me gusta :)

  • MAESTRO !

  • i love the rr5! no bullshit floyd, no lifeless EMG's, just awesome duncans! if it only had 24 frets...BTW: is this a custom rr in the back? looks like my dream guitar. awesome playing, i think you're way better than kirk

  • @givemeajackson

Thanks. On the wall behind are a Jacksion Kevin Bond SIgnature Rhoads and a Jackson RR3 Rhoads.

  • @DrSlackBladder haha, you're a real rhoads-fanatic! i have a charvel avenger, a rhoads that charvel built in 92'. but now i'm in love with my kelly :D

  • @givemeajackson

Not just Rhoads; I have an Epiphone Les Paul Custom and a Schecter Hellraiser too!

  • @DrSlackBladder you have a schec? could you describer the neck profile, i'm a bit curious about schecters. i love the look of their transparent red damien elite. is the neck as shredable as a jackson?

  • Really good man

  • That's one lucky woman..

  • Hey awsome cover and can u tell me how long did it take to master This song like that

  • @hunowarrior

Thanks. Each of my covers usually takes an average of about 10 hours over a week or two eves to learn and practice, depending on complexity of the solo.

  • Amazing cover!

  • nice guitarrr

  • you tweaked the solo somewhere in the middle, but i dont blame ya i do it to :P

  • fakin nice

  • @matyviola fuck you
