@tasteegold777 Nope this is just a different way of doing it I have mounted hundreds of dirtibke tires in the exact same manner and never done any damage. Maybe it I was swinging a sledge hammer at my rim you could say I was damaging it but this does no damage.
I've read that dishwashing detergent (and possibly some other soaps) can eat away at your wheel and eventually destroy them. Just a heads up to everyone...
@jesse62420 I don't think its possible to even get air into the tire without the valve core. Also the valve core doesn't hinder the ability to take in air.
@DeeJayMiikkii The only damage that can be done is really cosmetic. It is the same way I mount dirt bike tires and as for forcing it on that is the only way to do it and even the machines that mount tires force the tire onto the rim.
I live in oakland,ca....Havent bought my tire yet....My friend told me i should get bigger tires, just mainly for looks. So i just wanted to check if i can install it myself before i buy. Also, i want to ask, whats the difference between 150/70/17 and 170/60/17. I just heard its something about low profile or something. Does that mean its thicker/thinner? Do you know? can you explain it to me please? thanks
@Jak19835 The 150/70/17 means its 150 wide, it has a 70 sidewall and will fit a 17inch rim. The 170/60/17 will be wider and the sidewall will be shorter so it will be low profile. This means the 170/60/17 will be more stable but you will notice bumps just a little more, cornering will be harder due to the wider tire.
@clitorisninja666 wow dude chill out just cuz he wants to try doing it himself doesent mean anything bad and stop bragging on how you will in the army cuz frankly no one gives a shit how do we know you were ??? alot of people say on youtube to sound hard but its pathetic ur saying it to him over a video so he aint the one who should fuck off you are, he hasnt done anything wrong you twat
@50cent900 Very nice, you should look into taking the MSF course if you are under 18. It's totally worth the money and its kinda fun also you take the test on the last day and get your license if you pass.
hey man keep up the good work those bridgestone tires are great they came stock on my zx6r 09 they need about 2 miles to heat up nice and they stick like glue
hey man don't listen to any of these people! they don't have shit to do in life. Its fun to do things your self and learn how its done and save some dough. its a win win deal. all in all props to ya bro!
wow you must live in the middle of nowhere because most garages I know will mount your tire for free...as long as you buy from them..you still have to buy the tire...right?
Ok, though I work on engines/vehicles and have done in the past...but there are certain things I will not touch because it doesn't make sense. One is tires...I can give you many reasons but the main one is it costs next to nothing to get them fitted and yeah they are cheaper online like you say so spend the money you save on getting them fitted...and now I'll tell you why. Because while you're fitting the tire, if one of your tools slips you can get a variety of injuries...cont.
cont...from skinned knuckles to actually stabbing yourself in the side with a screwdriver. Also you can damage the wheels and get tiny chinks in them. And it sounds "whatever..." until it actually happens and then you think to yourself "...I wish I could've done things different..."TOO LATE".
Your just too busy jacking off your father to man up and do some things yourself.
Oh I might slip and skin a knuckle or stab my hand with a screwdriver. I'm pretty sure if you just take your time and follow instructions that it is possible to mount tires properly yourself.
Listen you little shit fucking special forces wannabe skinny cunt. Listen...first off |'m ex-fucking army...so I've done things you wouldn't dream of...or you do actually just fucking dream of being a Navy Seal...bahahaha...need some meat on you son. Secondly I fucking know more about engines then you ever will...you're doing it wrong douche...if you had even a bit of intelligence you'd realise it's not worth doing your tyres on your fucking garage floor. Fuck off.
anyway fuck off you little punk special forces wannabe...I didn;t wanna argue but then again that's all you can do...fucking go to Stan and put your money where your mouth is...
don;t bother replying...i wasted enough time on giving you advise...punk

If you remove the valve core it helps to set the bead you'll get more air flow into the tire and once its set put the core back
