  • Jeff teague is a beast already he's going to be a great back up on our hawks sqaud he's going to be agent zero one day

  • johny flinn didnt go to denver. u mean ty lawson dude. lol

  • Wow, I haven't watched this video since I made it. I didn't realize the mistake. But I'm sure it was made. I usually do my videos late at night (like 2 or 3 in the morning) because that's when I have free time, so sometimes those type of mixups happen. But yea, Flynn went to Minnesota where it looks like he's going to be the PG groomed to be the franchise PG since Rubio is a complete douchebag.

  • And HONESTLY, could Ty Lawson get any luckier? Who better to be his mentor than Billups in Denver?

  • i guess but ty plays like nate. hes a small 2 guard.

  • That's true, but Chauncey's one of the most talented PG's in the league. Having him mentor Lawson could turn Lawson into a superstar.

Billups needs to teach him how to do the off the back inbounds pass. That shit was tight. LMAO

  • hedo leaving sucked

  • Indeed.

  • How is adding Jamal Crawford putting more youth on the team? He's 29 years old, older than most of the players on the team. If fact, 3 of our starters are just 23, and Joe Johnson's 28, so Crawford's the fourth oldest behind Flip Murray(30) Mo Evans(30) and Bibby (31). BTW, Hawks resiged Bibby. Crawford brings UP our average age.

  • I thought Jamal was mid 20's? Hmm. My bad. Well he definitely gives them more depth at PG/SG then. Even though I don't think that's where they needed the depth in talent.

  • Yeah, the Hawks main issue they should deal with is getting a dominate, experienced center or power foward like Amare or Marcus Camby if they can manage to get one of them. A backup for Joe Johnson's also a issue they had, because he always would play 40 minute games. The Hawks only had like a consistent 7 to 8 man rotation most of the season and the playoffs, so now at least Jamal, and our draft pick Jeff Teague will give us a deeper roster.

  • Horford doesn't seem like that bad of a center, but if they can get a dominate player like Amare, they should definitely go for it. I bet if they offered Horford, Phoenix would take it.

As far as PF, I think Josh Smith is doing a pretty good job at that position. But a backup is always nice to have.

  • Yeah Horford's really good. I didn't mention him only because I ran out of characters. But we really only have 2 centers that we use which is Zaza and Horford. Plus, Horford is out of postiton, he should be a power forward. So if we had a really good true center, then that'd be great. We should really train our backup centers that we don't use much though, but Camby or Amare would be better

  • Haha, Amare on the Hawks would be an almost automatic Championship.

  • Oh REALLY. I think so too. They got Joe Smith though, and 7 foot Jason Collins (who is referred to as the worst player in the NBA by some comments I've seen on youtube , so I'm slightly worried about that, but he does have a ton of expirence). I'm sure he's a good player despite these comments and it's always good to have a 7 foot guy (who can shoot btw).

  • But the thing is, Hawks would have to give something up, and I don't think the Hawks can afford to lose Joe Johnson or Josh Smith, which would probably be the only 2 players the Suns would be interested in (I never understood why Phoenix didn't keep Joe Johnson)

  • Yeah, an Amare trade would be highly unlikely unless they had to free up some space for money. I think the Suns would take two centers in that case. Maybe even Crawford OR (not and) Marvin Williams and a center for Amare. Anyone but Joe and Josh. But we don't need him that badly to make a risky trade. We're 5 centers and 2 PFs deep now. Still, it would be REAL nice to have a center like Amare to drop it off to in tha post. Horford's really good, but I'd trust Amare more to score.

  • yea the Magic are going to be in the Eastern Conference finals with Miami lol jk I wish tho Im a Miami Fan. but I see Cavs v Magic again with the Magic Winning again.

  • COURTNEY LEE IS A MONSTER WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!! the Nets will be much better this season. Carter did need to leave NJ though

  • He might be a "MONSTER" most of the time...

But in the playoffs, he was demolished.

Yea, I agree that the Nets will be better, but so will the Magic, even with losing Turkoglu. I think Pietrus at SF will be really good for the team, with Matt Barnes off the bench.

  • @nbaplaya8484 Ah-hehe....haha..te-hehe, ah HAA HAAA AHAAAAA BOOOOooo HARGH GAABA GABA!!!! AHHH HAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

  • YO U IDIOT.... The Guy was a FUCKING ROOKIE... Of course he didn't Match Up well Againts ARGUABLY the Greatest Player to ever Play the Game... COME ON GIVE HIM some Slack

  • Yea... Which is why SVG should've left Pietrus in as the starter.

It's like when the Spurs played the Lakers this past season. Last couple minutes of the game. Score is close. G Pop took out Bruce Bowen, one of the best in the league at guarding Kobe, other than Battier, and put in George Hill, a rookie... And what did Kobe do? Schooled him like he did C. Lee. It was just bad coaching. Nothing against the player. But Courtney Lee just isn't at that level yet.

  • i agree vc should not be with the nets next year oh and sanfrangiantsfan1 it was not a crappy deal at all for the nets i respect that but what i dont respect is that the nets are keeping a few people like coach lawrence frank yi jianlian and josh boone they should trade yi and boone for a diffrent player as far as i know no team will take those to shitheads but the nets should have gotten rid of coach when they had the chance but to late i mean they can always fire that as whole

  • Yi and Boone gives them some height behind Lopez, but I agree. They need to dispose of them and go in a different direction.

I don't know much about their coach honestly, so I won't really comment on them, but Bill Lambier and Michael Curry are both available (from Detroit Shock and Detroit Pistons, respectively)

  • ...

You're not understanding what I'm saying.

Most teams aren't worried about THIS YEAR. They are thinking ahead. Every GM and Owner is thinking ahead for the future, and letting Vince Carter go to the Magic was the right move for both sides. The Nets weren't going to do anything next season with him, so they respected his wishes to be traded, and traded him to his hometown of Orlando. Every team cares for 2010. Greatest free agent market in the history of the NBA. Did you not read that part?

  • Absolutely the opposite.

They've been trying to get rid of Carter for awhile now. This deal was the best they have been offered, and they took it.

You have to understand... All of these teams making all of these trades (Suns, Bucks, Nets, Warriors, etc.) to free up cap space for next year's free agency. It's being advertised as the greatest free agent market in the history of the NBA. So they are simply preparing for the future because they know they aren't going to win next season.

  • The Magic WOW!!

Definetley the best Team on paper..but who knows how well theyll do in the season

Courtney Lee is a good player who brings energy and who is going to be a 18ppg 5reb 5assists player in the next couple years

  • I don't know about those stats. It is a possibility though. Lee's got a lot of maturing to do before he's going to be a successful SG in the league.

And yes, Magic should be just as good, if not better than last year, even though Hedo's not resigning with them. Moving Pietrus to SF will still give them a decent chance though.

  • Yeah i know what you mean

Pietrus would be a good SF, He did a respectable job against Kobe in the Finals

  • I didn't like Lee as the starter to tell the truth. I felt like Redick and Pietrus were better options to tell the truth. Redick seemed to do a better job on Bryant than Lee did, and of course, Pietrus had the size to take on Kobe whereas Lee just didn't. He's got a lot of work, but hopefully he'll pan out for the Nets. They've got a lot of promising players, but Nets front office has a lot of work ahead of them.

  • same thing with me i thought redick should have been a starter. but thier coach will never let him plsy he only got like 10 mins a game during the finals

  • He's still young and needs developing on both sides of the ball. I would've just kept Pietrus as the starter to begin with, and JJ as the backup.

I love JJ to death, but he definitely has a lot to learn before he's a seasonal starter.
