  • Seen it live myself it was amazing. I watched this clip about a thousand times.

  • "OH MY GOODNESS!!"

  • Comment removed

  • this guy must be biased to UFC

  • I was watching this Live thinking WTF, took me about 10 seconds to realise how crazy that shit was lol.

  • i watched this video over 100 times

  • is the last WEC no UFC

  • Pretty sure this was in wec lol

  • 거리가 조금만 더 맞았어도 초실신킥 될뻔...

  • "WEC" Super Kick

  • This was the coolest shit I seen today. I came to this shit.

  • @secret212000 the thing all those fighters have in common is speed. most fighters don't have the same speed anderson silva or anthony pettis does. especially the heavyweights. they'll never be able to pull a move like that off. and if this is a new style in mma then it will be expected. and if its expected then it will be defended against. and that move is really easy to defend against if you know its coming

  • @Thegyptianone

But this only makes the sport more difficult. Think about it, in order for this move to become "expected", fighters have to train to defend against it, or, train to attack in anticipation of the move, which is easier said than done. I don't think Anderson and Pettis are faster than everyone else, I think they're just big risk takers, they practice unorthodox moves and actually try then in a real fight.

  • @secret212000 but other than athletes like anderson silva and anthony pettis no one is gonna try this move even if they are good. think about it. georges st. pierre is one of the best no doubt yet he would never try a move like that. he didnt even wanna knock out koscheck even though he totally could have. even the best of the best wouldnt do this other than a few exceptions such as anthony pettis.

  • @Thegyptianone

You're saying GSP chose not to knock out Koscheck?!?!...you're out of your mind! GSP was trying to finish him the whole time but kos is a tough dude.I dunno if you watched Chad mendez's last fight, he was doing some crazy matrix stuff too, Mackens is another dude with some insane kicks. Anyway my point is, more wild moves might be seen more often, not necessarily this exact move but something equally or more unorthodox.

  • @secret212000 if u watched the GSP Koscheck fight all u see is GSP jabbing him. he didnt have many big hits. he was too scared of josh's takedown which is why he didnt knock him out and just stuck to the jab. he couldve knocked him out but he chose to play it safe and not throw big punches but little jabs. also, if u see other fights of anthony pettis he kicks off the fence alot. it is his style. so other fighters would have to change their style which almost never happens

  • @Thegyptianone

Dude, you're talking about GSP's brilliant jab strategy as if it was a shit plan...did you miss Koscheck's eye baby after round 1 or what??? GSP is the master at implementing a game plan and sticking to it. Saying he was scared to knock him out is crazy and just speculation. The truth is, GSP sustained zero injuries and fucked Koscheck's face up, big time...that is undeniable.

  • @secret212000 of course i saw his eye which is exactly why i say he chose not to knock him out. since his eye was like that GSP could easily knock him out if it wasnt for koschecks wrestling. GSP and could knock out anybody in the welterweight division. if he doesn't knock them out it means hes playing it safe by using the takedown or jab. if he used big hits he wouldve easily knocked out koscheck. but GSP is smart. and no one gets knocked out by jabs except for forrest griffin cuz hes a weinie

  • @Thegyptianone

A fighter doesn't chose to knock out or not knock out their opponent, that's fucking retarded to even think that. That's like saying a basketball player can chose to miss or not miss the net. Knock out power is actually a gift, some fighters just have the natural ability to transfer a shit load of kinetic energy, and some don't have that natural gift but train hard to reach that level.

Your comment leads me to believe that you've probably never been in a real fight.

  • @secret212000 wow i thot i got rid of u a long time ago. i love gsp but the point is he doesnt wanna risk getting knocked out or submitted in order to knock someone else out. remember thats a risk all fighters have in mind. and ufc fights r different than street fights. i'm not saying gsp doesn't have that gift. i'm just saying hed rather keep his belt. he has no reason to stay with jake shields in the octagon for all 5 rounds. he sucks. gsp should knock him out. if he doesnt ive proved my point

  • @Thegyptianone

Jake Shields sucks?!?!... You're a bandwagon fan for sure! lol

Jake has not lost since 2004, 15 straight wins since then, hasn't had one easy fight. First look at his record before talking out of your ass.

And by the way, GSP stood within striking distance of Koscheck all five rds, beat his eye to a pulp causing nerve damage, Kos can't feel his upper teeth for 5 months...he got wrecked big time, and GSP stood with him the whole fucking time. Your point is meaningless.

  • @secret212000 dude your underestimating GSP. My point is GSP is alot better than he's been fighting since he beat serra. And come on, Koscheck would knock shields out for sure. If koscheck can then GSP can for sure. Look at GSP and who he's beat before he got his belt back. He's playing it safe. GSP would be lying if he said he went all out in those fights after serra.

  • @secret212000 When did GSP become this takedown machine he is now? After matt sera ko'ed him thats when. He had 4 rounds to finish out a half blind Koschek and he's suppose to be the best fighter in the world.

Anyone can tell that he's afraid to let his hands go.

  • @moh490234890238490

Dude, you have no idea the amount of damage Koscheck received from those jabs, do you? He received nerve damage on the right side of his face, forget his destroyed eye, he can't even feel his upper teeth...Josh is forbidden(by the AC) to train for at least 5 months, he'll make a full recovery in 8 months.

Some things are more devastating than a KO.

And saying that GSP is afraid to let his hands go is just about the dumbest thing I have ever heard, seriously... it is.

  • @secret212000 I'll believe he's not afraid to let his hands go when he decides to trade hands and kicks with a competent striker. GSP is the Mayweather of mma he's here to show his skills and win on points, not to destroy his opponents like he use to.

  • @moh490234890238490

GSP Afraid to let his hands go?!?! Are you blind?!?! did you miss his last fight or what. GSP stood with Koscheck all five rds, dealt maximum damage to Koscheck's eye. In fact not just the eye, but the nerves on that side of his face were wrecked!...he still can't feel his lower teeth, watch the recent dana white blogs and you'll hear these words straight from Koscheck's mouth. GSP is legendary! Koscheck and TRUE mma fans know this.

  • @moh490234890238490 key word is ''competent'' striker. not a wrestler who just has a predictable right hand. i'll be impressed if he trades with someone like a thiago alves. Oh wait he already fought him and just tok him down over and over again, same thing with BJ penn cause he dosent want anything to do with the stand up game. he's all about strategies and winning on points.

  • if you see someone telegraphing a kick like that you should probably put your hands up and move your head...

  • Fantastic!

  • This kick will mostly become a game changer in mma, much like earlier mma fighters learning all aspects of mma instead of fighting with one style. It will most certainly draw in hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions of new fans to the sport of mma; but more importantly, it might alter fighter's styles, in that they might take more risks, such as implementing things that they'd only pull off in sparring sessions.

This might be the beginning of a new generation of matrix -style fighters.

  • @secret212000 it wasnt that big of a deal. it was cool and everything but its not gonna encourage fighters to fight like that just because it was cool. they dont fight to look cool they fight to win. and when u fight to win this move is highly discouraged by coaches and trainers

  • @Thegyptianone

You don't get it, the reason why this move succeeded was because it was out of the ordinary, fighters like anderson silva have been pulling off unorthodox moves with high success, because the brain can't process the move happening. This kick is only a piece of the puzzle, having your own fighting style might be the next level in mma. Anderson Silva has his own style and he's the MW champ, Aldo is another one, and Pettis as well. Something tells me we're onto something here.

  • @secret212000 I highly doubt it. The only reason he landed it is because he is an exceptional athlete, it was so unexpected, he practices it in training and they had just fought 4 1/2 rounds so the Ben's reaction timing had gotten slower. More people might try it but you would have to be a great athlete and striker to land it and I don't see anyone landing it in the first couple of rounds, maybe only if the opponent has slowed down considerably.

  • @ProfessaKA0S

All WEC fighters are exceptional athletes, that's not why Pettis landed that kick. He landed that kick because Ben's brain couldn't process the move happening, plain and simple. Watch it in slow-mo, Ben circled off the cage and even leaned his head back thinking a punch or kick was coming, but he didn't count on that cage kick, which extended the kick's reach and BOOM! But pulling it off in the 1st and 5th rd are two different stories, fatigue was against Ben and played a factor.

  • @secret212000 yes indeed.

  • Saw it live on the tele totally jaw dropping :D

  • Bruce Lee - eat your heart out.

  • I hate how people say this is staged! Do you think Ben Henderson would stage something like this in his own home town!!! Fuck Noo!

  • @PopCherriesNotBombs2

Sorry but I haven't heard about any staged story whatsoever, you're the first in my eyes to bring that up. Anyone calling this "staged" is fearful of what they just witnessed, in my opinion. It would be like witnessing a horrifying event and then pretending it wasn't real just to keep yourself from freaking out. So, calling it staged maybe helps that individual sleep better at night.

This is real, plain and simple.

  • I've watched this probably 100 times and i still get chills

  • Nice!!!
