  • Im a die hard habs fan but growing up Pelle was my hero. Gee.... What could've been. RIP

  • Geez. Wathing this brings a tear. Long live the Gump of Philly

  • Please retire his jersey. Long live #31

  • Why couldn't someone have taken his keys that night? We'd have a few more parades in Philly...

  • Lindberg would of been a hall of famer goalie. So sad...

  • the part that makes me so sad is that he had so much to prove still. so much talent, stanley cup worthiness talent :'(

  • I saw Pelle's last home game before he was killed. I also played hockey as a kid at The Colliseum in Voorhees, NJ, where he got drunk at the bar there.

  • The illustration at the beginning was done by Chris Tucci of bluelinegrafix.

  • he was a great goalie

  • I didnt know he passed away what happened? May he RIP

  • @luvgirlsfeet Car accident

  • I wear a mask Identical to the one he wore to honor him everytime i play! Miss u Man!

  • Thank you for posting this video (the song is so appropriate)...Lindbergh, Roy, Brodeur : best goalies of the past 35 years (honorable mention for Hasek).

  • First time I've watched a video on youtube that brought tears to my eyes. Thank you.

  • This is why I love the internet and youtube. I can revisit long buried memories and see things I never thought I would see again. I was 16 years old and living in Monteal at the time so the Canadiens are my team but Pelle's death really shocked and affected me. I always loved the goalies. So so sad.

Thank you for this video. Beautifully edited and perfect music. A really lovely tribute.

  • I HATE the Flyers as I'm an Isles fan but this was such a tragic loss to the NHL and the sport. Very sad.

  • @Quillons1

ilses fan huh? god bless ya...ur team needs new management...its a mockery what they did to a once proud franchise

  • @CalibusRTW I think mockery is understating it. It's a disgrace. As soon as Al Arbour left it went due south. And Charles Wang is a mutt, too. Oh well, it is what it is. What the team needs to do is stop trading away great players hoping to "rebuild". We've been "rebuilding" for 15 years.

  • 11/11/85

    11/11/10

    25 years since the accident.

    Rest in Peace Pelle

  • 25 years ago today.... 11-11-85....

Pelle still lives in the hearts of the Flyer fans

  • Still miss ya Pelle, thinking of you today. I just had the honor of telling my son about you. R.I.P.

  • @porn1978 he is ruffing up the ice in the crease for better stability after the zamboni had made its pass.

  • @defeodome2 ...Thank you!

  • 25 years ago today the flyers lost a true talent and a great person.RIP pelle

  • He was a drunk driver, people. Get over the adulation. He could have killed your son or daughter.

  • @k3304 why do you have to go around to different pelle lindbergh videos and keep typing this shit?

people remember him for his brilliant goaltending. they're saying NOTHING about the circumstances of his death. don't be such a dick.

  • @nikRbokRz , too bad he didnt mow down your daughter

  • @k3304 nice attitude

  • Pelle was an unreal talent of which my Favorite all time Goalie and All Star and 2 Time stanley Cup winner said of Pelle that he had the most talent of any Goalie he had ever seen ! God Rest his Soul !

  • @2:41 you see him smoothing out his crease alot of Goalies do that.

  • at 2:41 what was he doing?

  • I Just can't come up with words to express how i feel about his tragic death

  • Aw Pelle.

  • happy birthday, Pelle.

  • Why did he go so early, damn this makes me tear up some mantears. Best for ever, you will always be the best Pelle..

  • RIP Pelle. You would have broken all of Sawchuk's records way before Brodeur. Pel-le! Pel-le! Pel-le! Pel-le!

  • I cannot watch this without getting upset. Rest well, my young Flyer. See you at the end of the tunnel.

  • vila i frid

  • Well done! Pelle was then and is now the greatest goalie in Flyers history and his early death is as tragic today as it was 25 years ago. He is missed!!

  • Pelle, you were the man, RIP forever young and a Flyer.

  • Philly's never quite gotten over the loss. Probably was on his way to being top 3 ever.

  • what a dumb cunt. pulling the keys out of the ignition when pelle was going around a corner.

pelle died because of ignorance. stupid bitch.

  • She pulled the keys out of the ignition? I never heard that before. How awful!

  • Rest in peace uncle!

  • Does anyone have the pelle lindburgh memorial the held at the spectrum a few days after his death that they held before the game with the oilers !!! i think darren jenson had to play goal because bob froese was hurt > i still can see polin hugging jenson at the end of that game in my head !!!

  • RIP Pelle. You will live on in our hearts. The song rules, too.

  • Good video. I can see that you used a lot of clips that only I had used in mine.

  • RIP

  • awesome video.

dont know what i can say ..

  • What an incredible tragedy both for the sport and Pelle's family.

  • flyers in my heart 4ever

  • i love this song

  • i had nobody does it better by carly simon with this video. the annivarsary of his death is comingup it would be 24 years. this is a great video but my favorite part was at the end when the fans chant pelle pelle pelle i broke down crying!! PELLE#1

  • grymt bra video ! vad heter låten ?

  • Streets of Philadelphia

  • Mötte dig ofta hemma pa Barnängsgatan i Stockholm, du var en jättevänlig, jättetrevlig, och framförallt en jättevanlig kille som aldrig glömde var som var hemma. Saknar dig fortfarande !

  • I know Pelle wants us to finish some unfinished business he started to win the Stanley cup

  • he was so good and i miss him so much always in my heart Pelle

    RIP!

    DEN bästa målvakten genom tiderna

  • picture at 2:01....

you can freeze this picture forever, and reflect over how great and beautiful hockey can be.

    Pelle vs Gretzky

there are no words in my heart to describe that picture.

  • I had the pleasure of watching him play for the Maine Mariners in thew 80-81 and 81-82 seasons. This guy brought an electricity to the Cumberland County Civic Center like no one ever had. The saves this guy made were absolutely incredible. It was so exciting to see him go to the big dance and do so well. Then so very sad to see his life end so quickly. One can only wonder if he may have attained numbers similar to those of Patrick Roy.

  • Kolla de skydden fan du måste ha grym känsla för att rädda en puck dagens skydd täcker ju halva målet. :P

  • pelle i mitt hjärta!

Pelle is in my hart 4 ever

  • han var inte bara bäst i världen han var den första europe som vann veniza.han är fortfarande bästa svenska målvakt.

  • Great Video ! To bad pelle still isn't here he was special in the net ! Bernie Parent said he had the most talent he had ever seen ! RIP Pelle !

  • great video man

    great song too

    great guy

    great goalie

  • Number 31 should be retired. No one has worn it since he passed and no one will ever again. The Flyers should hang his number in the rafters along with 1, 4, 7, and 16

  • hwo has have number 1,4,7,16 in philadelphia?

  • in a dedication to you PER ERIK on the eve of your upcoming birthday may 25 i after looking for years i finally have the holy grail yes a PELLE LINDBERGH GAME STICK!! PELLE PELLE PELLE PELLE PELLE

  • todays pelle lindbergh's birthday he would have turned 50! pelle pelle pelle pelle pelle you are the greatest

  • in life he was pelle lindbergh the greatest goalie ever, in death he came back on friday the 13th as JASON VOORHEESE

  • #1 was Bernie Parent, #4 was Barry Ashbee, #7 was Bill Barber and #16 was Bobby Clarke. 31 should hang up there alongside of them

  • 1 was bernie parent, 16 was bobby clarke, 7 was bill barber not sure about 4

  • #4 would have belonged to Barry Ashbee, who passed away from leukemia, I think. If I'm wrong on that, I do apologize, but I think that's what it was that took him from us all too soon. Great song selection too, sadly.... :-(

    RIP PELLE!

    #31 FOREVER

  • You are correct on all counts. Unfortunately. :( It's so, so tough to see good people leave us so young.

Though if it's any consolation, at least Barry Ashbee's number was retired while he was still with us to see it. He had suffered a career-ending eye injury during the Flyers' first Cup run, and was our assistant coach from then until his very untimely passing about 3 years later. When he was honored with the retiring of his number, no one knew his time left with us would be so limited.

  • My previous response was a reply to FlyersHockey Pride... it doesn't seem to show that anywhere ON the message.

  • @alonso9393

1 was Bernie Parent. 4 Barry Ashbee who diedof Cancer. 7. was Bill Barber. #16 Bobby "Clarkie our strong Captain" Clark. I agree #31 should hang there too. Pelle was Magnificent.

  • @Clt2002 - It doesn't need to hang in the rafters to show respect. No flyer has ever worn 31 since.

  • The Flyers will never retire his number, drinking and driving is viewed even more negatively now in the public culture than it was back in 1985.

  • good work
