This "integrated" commercial appeared at the end of several episodes of "THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN" during the 1955-'56 season. Charlie Lyon is "the voice of Kellogg's", as he was during the early and mid-'50s (and the show's announcer as well).
Poor Jimmy, he just doesn't have a clue. Supes must've been a whiz at time management to fetch that box of cereal and return to the pad and find time to deal with characters like Lex Luthor (who most likely ate a fat 'n' cholesterol-filled breakfast and ignored the importance of grain-based cereals) and Mr Myzpklyk, er, Mr. Mxy..aw forget it, let the guy say his own name backwards...
The music really helped make superman.

Superman's publishers wouldn't allow him to sponsor the product directly, so they had Clark Kent do it.

I had a HUGE crush on Jimmy; I wish I could meet Jack Larson, the actor who played him, so I could tell him, LOL.

One thing I love about
this commercial is the scene when Clark Kent pulls off his glass, loosens his tie & leaves. Why?
Because that scene alone
feels like it was peeled off the page of a comic book from the SuperMan comic book itself!

This is fantastic and it should have been an extra on the DVD set of the TV show.

LMAO - And just why is Clark Kent making breakfast for Jimmy Olsen? Boy, is Lois ever gonna be pissed!
kenrg 2 years ago
Lois was pissed because she missed out on that extra commercial money because Kellogg's didn't want it to look like she was sleeping with Clark Kent.
